LAUREN- Basically the WT Governing Body and the WT writing committee are lying when they write, " it's not our job to judge who will or won't be saved . " That's a flat out lie. Because WT leaders DO look at themselves as prospective judges who will allegedly "rule with Jesus in heaven as the 144,000 . " So it's a total untruth when they claim not to judge. As you stated- otherwise they wouldn't DF people or kick them out of the JW religion. So, yes they do judge, and what they post on their websites are lies. Peace out, mr. Flipper

Do JWs believe they will be the only people saved at the "end"?
by LaurenM inthe answer posted on jw.org: "no.
many millions who lived in centuries past and who weren’t jehovah’s witnesses will have an opportunity for salvation.
additionally, many now living may yet begin to serve god, and they too will gain salvation.

Are they either leaving or going full on 'cult mode'? No quarter.
by punkofnice init might just be me imagining things.. i hear things from my jw spies.. from all that's being said, it seems to me that the rank and file(tm), are either waking up to the scam and fading/leaving.
they are going full on 'cult mode' and acting like 'spiritual police'.. is it just me and my imagination?
have others noticed this?.

Hey PUNK- Really great thread topic. Love your you tubes man, great job.
I really believe with the WT Society amping up the FEAR and GUILT levels at the RC's through the use of that ridiculous " bunker " video - that the JW's that are deeply mind controlled already by the cult will get pushed even deeper into their mind controlled state and turn into REAL freaks- even freakier than they've been - full on cult mode , ratting each other out , shunning inactive ones- the whole enchilada . They'll get worse in their behavior.
As for those who already are having cracks of doubt in their JW armor - I believe those cracks will start to widen as they see the WT Society telling them to give, give , give more in ways of monetary contributions - but they see the GB laying off Bethel workers, shutting down construction or repairs on Kingdom halls , selling off land or Kingdom halls on that land and forcing people to consolidate in bigger numbers in Kingdom halls where they have to drive 30 or 45 minutes to in order just to attend a freaking meeting ! This is starting to happen in places.
My JW daughter's JW husband opened up to me about that very thing- worried his elders are going to sell their Kingdom hall or the land claiming there is NO money available for repairs - and this caused my son in law to shake his head in confusion. My son in law expressed that he doesn't want to travel 30 to 45 minutes one way just to get to a meeting. I believe he is starting to miss some meetings here and there - so we will see what happens.
So I agree with your opening post and others. The more mind controlled a JW is- this current info will drive them deeper into the mind controlled state , if a JW already has doubts , the cracks of doubts will start to widen and in time more will eventually leave. Kind of how I see it at present. Take care my music buddy

She was mental, all right. Sadistic, voyeuristic, attention whore, hypocrite.
She created theaters for herself to have control of and gawk at the pain of the poor.
But a sacred cow in this society. Interesting seeing her in the video with Reagan - another sacred cow.
God fearing, church going Christians.
I grew up around Catholics and figured out early on that they were crazy. No contraception, no divorce, no abortion. Make yourself suffer - it will please god.
Like so many religions they are way overfocused on natural sexuality being a horrible sin.
Really disturbing.

Your opinion about dating sites?
by nevaagain ini have been a jw all my life, while i also have a "spiritual divorce", which means i can remarry a jw again.
i am not sure if i want to go that route again and dating in the jw world feels like a struggle sometimes.
with all the rules.

NEVAAGAIN- My condolences on the dissolution of your marriage- been there, experienced that . It's never easy , hang in there. Your statement : " The JW world feels so small sometimes..... "
Exactly, solution : Get out of the JW world and broaden your horizons with a larger variety of women. There are many nice women out there in non-JW land to meet and get to know.
Have I used dating sites ? Yes, successfully. My wife and I met on E-Harmony.com and have been together over 10 years now, very happy. I dated a few ladies before I met Mrs. Flipper my wife- and most of them were very polite who I met on E-Harmony- it's just that I didn't click and connect with them on all levels like I did with Mrs. Flipper. The right person is out there for you- you just have to be patient and take your time - you'll find a great lady if you don't rush it and are patient. Take care and I wish you the best of luck ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

JW's opinions on bunker video
by neat blue dog inthe so called bunker video isn't just getting attention here but among jws as well.
i've heard a fair share of cracks, some half joking half serious about the prospect of the video playing out in real life .
but something else i've heard is that the video was meant to be figurative, an illustration representing the 'interior rooms' prophecy..

REBEL 8 said, " All I can say is the video would be a lot better with Zombies . "
I thought those actors WERE JW zombies ? I mean, hell- as bad as the acting was I would have enjoyed the upcoming season premiere of " Walking Dead " many times over

"That Makes Your Organisation, In Many Respects, A Captive Organisation"
by pale.emperor ina segment from the royal commission in australia where gb member geoffrey jackson is grilled by a, very fantastic, lawyer.
this should be watched by all people contemplating getting baptized as jw's.
once you're in, you cant leave and keep your family.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpir8vjsdre.

The attorney, I believe Angus Stewart is his name did a really great job of putting Geoff Jackson up against a wall with his questions and exposed the lack of compassion and inhumanity of the WT leaders who put forth these policies of shunning along with all the rest of their crazy policies. Jackson disagreed with Stewarts views and it made him and the rest of the GB look like insensitive assholes. Which of course they are. No appearance of any " ethics " inside Jackson at all- just a lot of excuses and justification. Any of you JW's who are lurking- THIS is what your leaders look like and act like - the ones you are following. They will throw you under a bus in a heartbeat. Peace out, Mr. Flipper

As a Matter of Conscience, I Am Resigning from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses
by Sail Away inafter listening to the hearings of the australian royal commission into institutional responses to child sexual abuse, i am no longer content to have simply walked away from the organization.
as a matter of conscience, i do not want my name linked with the organization in any way.
i know this letter has been posted previously, and i thank the author.

SAIL AWAY- I'm really happy for you that you've been able to move on and have a great life away from all the madness ! I'm glad that both you and your husband have a close relationship with your daughter, son in law , and grandson . Family is so important, and more importantly having family that accepts you with love unconditionally is a great feeling. Take care, we'll have to catch up some time ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

It is absolutely galling to me that my wife submits herself to this madness
by jambon1 ini've tried to get over this, i honestly have.
since i stopped my kids going to meetings, things have gotten a little better.. but knowing the content of the convention programme that she was subjected to on friday, it amazes me and greatly annoys me that she goes back for more, today.
for her to sit there watching those crazy, fear mongering bunker videos.
-

JAMBON- As Scratchme said, your wife is under the influence of cult mind control. Anything the WT Society tells these JW's they'll eat it up thinking " God " allegedly is inspiring every utterance out of the GB's mouth. Another condition many JW's are under mentally is called the " Stockholm Syndrome " whereby most every JW will make excuses for the WT Society's crimes - even if it involves supporting WT Societies faulty child abuse policies and refusing to admit that the WT Society has serious ethical and moral deficiencies. So then rank & file JW's become unwitting accomplices with WT Society actions. It's something most JW's don't even realize is happening to them.
It's definitely a mental condition caused by years of indoctrination sitting at those meetings which affects what's inside the brain neurotransmitters which triggers JW's to stay inside the organization. Not until one removes themselves from hearing the WT indoctrination - can new information pathways be established inside those brain neurotransmitters. It's not just a psychological condition, it's a physiological condition.
I feel for you my friend. It's a tough thing to deal with when it's your mate. And that's putting it mildly. It's something that runs a lot deeper than most people realize. Even some ex-JW's don't totally understand the power and danger of cult mind control . One reason why after years of exiting the Witness organization, some will go back after being out 20 or 30 years. They are still under control of the WT Society through guilt and fear tactics used by WT leaders.
I hope the best for you, and we are always here as a support to you, but your wife will have to see this and hopefully awaken in her own time. Each person has to see it for themselves in time. I wish you the best, hang in there, Peace out, Mr. Flipper
