You claim you are being " respectful " to this newer poster - however - you are casting her in a bad light by stating " perhaps you may wish to consider the possibility that your husband ( with his pro-JW stance - isn't the ONLY source of the problems you're experiencing. " Translation : She may be the source of his problems - THAT is what you're insinuating. You use double speak and innuendo's that cult mind controlled people use from any mind control cult.

At least I'm honest and call you out on your crap. This is a new board member who deserves support and all you are doing is trying to make her feel " guilty " for how she is feeling. We get apologists here occasionally trying to defend the watchtower - I'd like to see your thread not get derailed by it. But it is interesting to see that mentality at work.

Myself, I was never a JW, and I see some of this stuff from a different perspective. Brother J. seemed to be talking to you the way a lot of JW men talk to women. And where the majority of posters here will offer support, the apologists are usually trying to convince everyone, including themselves, to stick to the old cult beliefs.

LOST HIS MIND- Thanks for the further information regarding your husband. It sounds as if he looks to his sister and brother in law as parents so this listening to their every direction may have deeper ties inside him than only the JW cult- which is bad enough. He may have insecurities tied to listening to them as his replacement parents. I feel for you- you definitely have your hands full. But ultimately the decision is up to you what you end up doing. BROTHER JERAMY- Telling a new board member who has experienced difficulties from her studying JW husband and fanatic JW relatives that if she leaves she is, " very controlling " - is VERY controlling of you to tell her this. It's her own damned personal life and who the hell do you think YOU are to tell her to leave or NOT to leave just because you feel she should not challenge her husbands beliefs or her JW relatives beliefs ? It's really none of your damned business or place to be telling this newer board member what to do or HOW she should feel. You really ARE coming off like the WT cult leaders who we often criticize here

as some of you know i was given pdf files of much of the conti and lopez child abuse court cases and asked from a friend to peruse through it and post some excerpts on the board here that may have been missed or not addressed in the pbs newshour report or the abc news nightline report.

so after going through this richard ashe testimony i feel i found something quite interesting that exposes the real attitudes of the wt society leaders towards child abuse and the attitudes wt leaders put into it's appointed men's minds as well.

the viewpoint that richard ashe displays is repeated in elders throughout thousands of jw congregations on this planet.

WIFIBANDIT- So it seems like Richard Ashe IS very involved in upper echelon things going on in WT land. Being on the service committee and all. But man oh man, just reading his court testimony you can still tell he is so freaking mind controlled it's pathetic.

DATA-DOG- Good point you bring out. I wonder what kind of backlash he is getting from his WT superiors for his court testimony ? May I ask : What is it about your husbands relationship with his sister that makes him feel that she has all the answers to life or that he cannot even question her or her husband ? Do they both have some kind of mesmerizing control over him and they use the JW's to exercise that control ? What's the background of your husband's relationship with his sister ? Just needing a little more info. Thanks, I'm sorry you are in such a challenging position

ok, so i only read the wt study articles to keep up with the indoctrination that my two "still-in" children are being subjected to.

when i read this in today's wt i nearly blew a gasket: .

OUBLIETTE- Very good point. I'm with you. Only main abuse of power I've suffered from in my life has been at the hands of the WT Society and their appointed minions as well. WT Society leaders are so narrow minded and arrogant in their views that they would NEVER view themselves as abusing power - they themselves have a " persecution complex " a mile long and they look at the " world " as " persecuting " them - the WT leaders ! I believe they use this pretend " persecution complex " as a marketing tool in mind control to lure rank & file JW's to side with them in a " it's us against the world " syndrome thus blinding JW's to the fact that GB members could ever ABUSE power - they have the view that THEY are abused by the world. It's such a narrow view and misleading indeed.

This abuse of power by WT leaders is one reason I keep banging the drum on the child abuse issue. I tell everybody I can about the WT leaders own abuse of power. What was the old saying, " power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely " ? Peace out, Mr. Flipper
