Frustrating conversation with relative
by lukejmedic inback storymy cousin, who i was pretty close to growing up, was dfd several years ago while i was still drinking the kool-aid.

Good thread. Your cousin is STILL very much mind controlled and even though she was DFed- she never really got over being mind controlled. She's just trying to make you feel guilty for not going back to the WT organization. She's insecure, you are not- you are stable. Don't let it get to you- I have some JW relatives still in and even though I've been inactive 11 years- I'm treated like I'm DFed. I've made plenty of friends moving forward. Doesn't bother me like it used to. As Pink Floyd says, " I've become " Comfortably Numb " -

The Secret is out....but nobody cares
by MrTheocratic ini've been looking on this site for some time but never posted.
i'll give a little about myself, but not too much.
i'm a ex-bethelite ( brooklyn )and currently serving as an elder (10 years) (thinking about stepping down) on the service committee.

MR. THEOCRATIC- Welcome to the board indeed ! Nice to have you here. I don't think it's a black or white issue- either this or that- I think there are a lot of variables involved. My wife and I live in a small mountain community out west in California - and among young people 35 and under it's considered a small liberal hippy town - but among people 40 and older it's quite conservative many times.
It seems to imitate that reality inside the JW organization up here as well. When talking to JW's in my area who are over 40 to 45 years old most of them seem to be VERY strongly indoctrinated or defensive over the WT child abuse scandals ( see my thread where one long time 65 year old elder threw my WT child abuse news release into the trash in front of me yelling at me ) - but the younger JW's 30 and under seem to just follow the organization out of habit when I've talked to them when they're out in service. Just kind of out there counting time, spending more break time at Starbucks, appear to not really realize or know their religion very well or it's history- but just staying in for family because it's tradition that's been carried down through their genetic line - so being brain dead by WT mind control they just follow it to keep JW associations with relatives.
However there are SOME young people I've talked to who have left the organization after being abused either sexually, physically beaten , or cut off, ostracized, and because they've had to SUFFER some injustice they have walked away or RAN away from this abusive organization. They are the ones who will wake up. If many of the JW's are experiencing the " Stepford family syndrome " where everything just sails along smoothly- there will be no need for them to leave their comfort zone as you state. I truly believe it takes suffering some form of adversity, injustice, shunning to jolt some of these people out of their malaise - or if they SEE someone very close to them experiencing injustice, suffering, or adversity.
That's why this WT child abuse scandal getting on PBS news hour and the ABC news Nightline show and these WT child abuse printouts are so handy to have in our cars with us. Showing these to long indoctrinated JW's may just in fact shake them, even if a little bit, from the malaise and boredom or apathy they seem to have to get them to realize more is happening on this big planet of ours outside of the kingdom halls and their " Stepford families ". Personally- I'm one who likes to shake the trees a little bit to see what kind of fruit will fall out. If you get my drift. Nice having you here, appreciate your observations

Why attack?
by newqatarjob inas someone brought up as a jw and been an elder and been disfellowshipped (twice!!!
) i find it difficult to understand why ex jws have to attack the religion, yes religion, not cult or sect.
i am no longer disfellowshipped just do not want to practice anymore.

I have a feeling his guy is long gone from this thread, with his fingers in his ears singing la-la-la-la-la.....
Nothing "nice" about his passive aggressive drivel, really.
Maybe just trying to reinforce his denial and superstition, and trying to get brownie points with Jehovah.

DUBSTEPPED- For those of us who have moved on from the JW mentality- it's not a case of not having moved on from the " victim mode " - many of us HAVE involved ourselves in many positive activities- it's a case of many of us feel we need to HELP others who need to see the WT Society exposed for the child abuse crimes, exposed for deaths from no blood transfusions, and exposed for creating dissension, division, and suicides due to the shunning that is encouraged. And that involves exposing negative behavior. It doesn't mean we haven't moved on from it personally- just want to unselfishly help and assist others to move on and see these crimes for what they are ! Better in my opinion to do that than just wash your hands of the whole thing without assisting others -

Were you or someone you know sexually molested by a Jehovah's Witness ?
by flipper indue to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, i wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem?
remember, it's 27,000 pedophiles that they know about.
what about the thousands that don't get caught?

By the way- here's another thread of experiences of countless people- perhaps hundreds of JW's or ex-JW's who relate here on page after page of personal child abuse they or loved ones suffered at the hands of child molesters within the Jehovah's Witness organization. Some relate experiences of people they knew, some about their own children, some about themselves. Feel free to share any of these crimes committed within the JW organization as it may further enlighten people and newer members as to WHY some of us carry vitriol towards this criminal organization called the WT Society. Access to information is everything -

According to Oct.1st 2012 WT Directions- Past Child Molesters CAN Be Appointed Elders
by flipper inconsidering the fact that the wt society refuses to release in courts any of it's written directions to elders through confidential letters to elder bodies- i thought i'd do the courts and wt society a "favor " by posting excerpts from this oct 1st.
2012 letter from the wt society to all bodies of elders.
these instructions are very exposing of the negligence of wt authorities in how they view the seriousness of felony child abuse.

Since some newer members may have been elders in the past- then I'm sure they may - or may not- be aware of this October 1st, 2012 confidential direction by the WT Society to the elders ( no rank & file JW's know about this letter ) to give elders the O.K. to appoint pedophiles and past child molesters to positions of elder or ministerial servant if enough time goes by. So if any newbies may wonder why we have anger towards the WT Society or feel we need to expose the unjust WT Society actions- READ this thread and this letter from WT to elders in 2012- and you might start understanding our position. Peace and love to all, Mr. Flipper -

Epic Discussion ( Confrontation ) with JW Cart People about WT Child Abuse

As VIDIOT states this is the " information age " and this thread is for any new members who might wonder what all the fuss is about getting proactive against the WT Society about allowing child abuse. Share your thoughts and feel free to share. Going out of town so I wanted to bump this up. Thanks for any replies -

Attitudes of WT Society Leaders Towards " Rights " of Child Abuse Victims and Elders
by flipper inthese excerpts i'm sharing with you are from the july 1st, 1989 letter from the wt society to the elders and it gives outsiders a good idea of the attitude of the wt society leaders towards child abuse victims and even towards their own appointed elders.
and it shows wt society is first, foremost, and mainly concerned about financial fallout from potential lawsuits.
one short quote was used from this letter on the abc news nightline report about candace conti - but what i'm going to share with you will be other excerpts from that same letter that are just as, or even more revealing.

Wife and I are going out of town today so since we have some newer members on the board who might not understand why vitriol occurs towards WT leaders- this is an example of why that anger continues. Feel free to express comments -

NEWQATARJOB- Welcome to the board. Nice to have you here. I agree with what SLIDINFAST said. My thoughts completely as if he was reading my mind. It's not that we hate the people or have vitriol towards them personally- it's the criminal, harmful policies of WT leaders of the organization that are SO damaging and destructive. If we remain quiet then it becomes just as Albert Einstein stated, " Evil proliferates when good people stand by and do nothing. " Personally- I won't do that - I'm an activist for awareness to try to open people's eyes - and that requires exposure of uncomfortable facts concerning the WT Society's criminal conduct. Am I an axe murderer ? No. Am I raping young children and hiding it ? No. But you can't say the WT Society isn't allowing the raping of young children - there are thousands of pedophiles in their organization who are roaming free as predators within the congregations. People everywhere need to know that. What would be wrong would be in staying silent and NOT attacking the unjust things happening within the WT Society. How else will people and JW's know themselves ? They won't unless they research the Internet. So hopefully this makes sense to you in order to protect child victims of sexual child abuse. Otherwise you accomplish nothing but allowing evil to prevail by staying silent. My 2 cents -

Today's groundless speculation thread - so why would a German copilot deliberately fly an airplane into a mountain?
by sir82 injust can't wrap my head around this.
the guy (a) evidently did all of this on purpose, and (b) evidently had no reason at all to do so.. there is a huge chunk of the puzzle missing from this one (so far)..

SIR 82- My wife and I discussed this today. Either the pilot in the cockpit suffered a heart attack or some other disabling physical impairment where he was unconscious and could not let the other pilot back into the cockpit in time - or - he purposely had some other agenda where he was either mentally off , not letting the other pilot back in the cockpit or he was associated with a terrorist group committing the ultimate sacrificial crime . Had to be one of those occurrences I would suspect
