Hello folks. In some congregations I went to, there were such class distinctions due to cliques and personality conflicts that you could almost draw a line down the middle of the kingdom hall separating people. I had one elder tell me and the ex-wife to stop associating with his believing daughter who lived with him, in good standing, because as he put it,"she's on slippery ground". Why did he say that? Because she was revealing dark family secrets to the body of elders that would bust him as an elder! So he thought she should be dissed! I just said,"Oh! thank you" to him, and proceeded to associate with her anyway. Gossip was and is never good as it always has as it's motive the putting of someone down to further one's selfish motive or intentionally hurt others. The elders in that cong. gave a local needs talk saying," No one should tell you not to associate with anybody unless it's announced from this platform.Don't listen to them." So the elder 's head turned three sheets of red, knowing this talk was referring to what he had said about his daughter. So it was resolved. Dude ended up getting removed as an elder and moved. But it divided the congregation while it happened. People were either pro-daughter or pro-elder.So what about you folks? Did you have these things happen? How were they resolved? Or were they? What did you learn from these things? Peace to you all. Mr. Flipper

What Made You Fall in Love With Your Husband/Wife/Lover ,Significant Other?

Hey all. Mr. Flipper. When in the witnesses, the fanciful thought is put forward that the main thing important in a marriage is the "threefold cord" having God in your marriage. It was made to seem that if that was there, everything else would just fall into place. Great sex, peace in the household, emotional unity with your mate, mental togetherness with your mate. But as I found out in my first marriage(19) years, ended 1998, that if you aren't well suited in alot of ways, emotional, physical, mental, common interests, same values, it doesn't work well. Witness or no witness. My wife Mrs. Flipper and I met through e-harmony and found we had alot of the same values, common interests emotionally, physically, mentally, and very similar hobbies including hiking in mountains, camping, fishing anything outdoors, music, animals, etc. Also she doesn't make an issue out of little things. Both of us pretty easygoing people. What about you all? What qualities made you fall in love with your mate or significant other? Please share, as we might be able to help some who are considering finding that special person!! Thanks, Peace, Mr. Flipper

Good subject! nvrbnk! Mr. Flipper here. I tend to agree with Brinjen, I'm open minded as long as it doesn't infringe on people's basic rights as human beings. But because of being brain fried by the witnesses, I have become very cautious as to who I trust or what concepts I put alot of stock in. I love and trust my close family members, and those that don't try to re-cram the witness stuff back down my throat. However I do enjoy exploring different subjects, like to read and be informed and learn new things. Whether I adopt it as a personal concept I can relate to is all dependent on whether it can pass the test of my already half cynical mind. Peace my friend, Mr. Flipper

Disgusting comment re: education from Tacoma 2007 District Convention
by Justitia Themis inthis is from saturday afternoon program.
the speaker first starts with what he called the "alphabet soup" of degrees....a.a., b.a., m.a., ph.d., etc.
; he said they were nothing more than "sheepskins on the wall.

My Gawd, What a fu@#$! retard speaker!!! Dare I say he was putting in his own words there, or was he actually reading verbatim from the outline?? The audacity of these asswipes never ceases to amaze me! I am so proud of my 22 year old fading son who I am trying to get through a university, when I told him about this comment, he said," You've got to be kidding?" But it's no joke! The only education these jerks want young people to have is in the mental regulating of the,"governing body and their dictates. To them all other education is unnecessary. I believe most of them will wind upD>E>A>D> because they won't know how to earn a living or learn how to wipe their own ass from a hole in the ground , due to lack of education. Their own closed minded fault. Can you tell I'm pissed?? Peace out and war on stupidity, Mr. Flipper

Did You Ever See Someone Die or Have Seizures at Meetings?
by flipper inhello folks.
mr. flipper here.
weird subject i know but interesting.

Hello folks. Mr. Flipper here. Weird subject I know but interesting. In a couple of congregations I went to there were a couple people who had epilepsy, bless their souls, and had seizures at meetings, poor folks, not knowing what to do other than deal with it, screaming as they do and biting their tongues. One nice, cool elder handled it dignified during his public talk and said," Well sister so and so won't have to go through that in the paradise anymore." One time I had an experience on an assembly part, 1983, several of us were sitting on the stage, waiting to go up to the microphone to do our bit. A 83 year old sister was up at the mic. before me ,giving her part. I noticed she was shaking as she gripped the mic. tightly. Then after she sat down , and before the brother could call me up to do my part, this sister passed out right on my shoulder. I looked at her and her eyes were in the back of her head. She had a massive heart attack, and had died right on my shoulder. I tried tapping her on the back, but she was gone. So, while the crowd of 2000 sat there gasping, I motioned over to another brother sitting down a few chairs from me to help me carry her off the stage. Which by the way, under the circumstances was no easy task, she was about 5'8, 180 to 200lbs. So, I got under one of her shoulders, the other brother under another shoulder and we laid her out behind the curtain. The brother yanked her false teeth out, they came flying up into my face and he started giving her mouth to mouth recussitation. Firemen came rushing from the audience behind the curtain, but finally a registered nurse from my cong. got the sisters heart going finally after 5 minutes. But she was brain dead, and after 2 weeks on life support the family decided to take her off, no point. But that was one circumstance I'll never forget as long as I live.Remember it just like yesterday. What about you folks, any interesting things happen over the years that you saw with peoples health at meetings or fatalities or scary, weird things happen. Please share. Thanks, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Is There ANYTHING That Could Get Your Friends & Relatives Outta The Org.?
by minimus incould you think of anything that might put them over the edge?
-
flipper
Minimus- For some of my superdub witness relatives, Ex-bethelite, ex missionary. Nothing short of Ted Jaracz going on an insane shooting spree at Bethel losing his mind in the process and molesting everybodies kids while he does it. That's probably close to the only thing that would shake their faith. And then that might be a stretch. They'd say, Jehovah cleaned Ted out of the organization to save the rest of em'

Elders Giving Personal Opinions as Counsel,How did it Affect You?
by flipper inhey everybody.
when i was a witness one thing that drove me crazy was getting counsel from elders shooting personal opinions off their hip like it was from jehovah god himself.
how many times at assemblies, wt articles, etc.
-
flipper
German- Their opinions do suck, many times. Eclipse- I fell asleep during meetings, not just prayers. My Bible, books would fall on the floor. People would turn their heads look at me then shake their heads in wonderment. Oh well! I know God still loved me! Mad Tiger- Tired old men with eyes ablaze??With gnarled fists?? What the hell?? Has Ted Jaracz escaped the old folks home again?? Please somebody take him back, quick!!! Keyser- I remember as a kid lying on the floor trying to sleep on Thursady night meetings, then looking up underneath the seats seeing gum stuck under chairs, being grossed out when accidentally touching it, thinking, what kind of disease am I going to catch? Peace, Mr. Flipper

Help! Calling all Ex-Elders for advice on Appeal Commitee Situation
by flipper inhello guys, mr. flipper here.
here's the deal, i'll try to be brief, hard for me.
mrs. flipper and i got married last october, but before that one month before,my 18 year old daughter, her mom, my ex from 1998 and her husband came incognito one sat.
-
flipper
JW Daughter- Thanks. No, I had scriptural freedom to marry Mrs. Flipper since 2003. The marriage was legal in men's eyes and the "jw God's eyes" . No problem there. Minimus- Don't worry. I will be smart. I wasn't born yesterday. I guess I just want to see if what they are telling me on the phone is the truth, that I'm really not dfed. I'll hold them to that. Want to see them say it. I guess I doubt them so much, I won't believe it till I see the whites of their eyes saying it. Also, to keep a good relationship with 80 something parents, if it comes up,I want them to know the elders told me this face to face. I won't slip up! Don't worry I'll be careful! I know how to handle them. I've made it this far, haven't I?? That shocked the hell out of most of you, myself included. Moshe- They will not trap me. Snakes, Wilyloman, On the Way Out, and others have prepared me with what to say. I won't veer from that format. Thanks, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

And, maybe, it is not too late.
by nvrgnbk inand it is also time to end the nightmare of slavery to the diseased ideals of mindless growth, rapacious consumption, and the utterly insane notion that unrestrained self-interest ought not be controlled.
though the fundamental freedom to pursue one's own interests is absolutely vitaleven sacred and must be protectedwe must stop justifying the cruel, unrestrained pursuit of wealth and power.
we must stop glorifying greed with the now popular lie that unfettered avarice is our best guide down the path of the greatest good for the greatest number!

nvrgnbk- Amen brother! And elect Al Gore president, John Edwards vice president. Take back our earth. Peace out. Mr. Flipper
