Want to bump this up for any lurking JW's who might read this. This truly shows that ' holy spirit ' has nothing to do with these ' elders ' who continue to remain as elders within the JW organization. There are hundreds more like these guys within the JW organization lurking in the weeds

Why is there such a 'high turnover' within the Jehovahs Witnesses?
by UnshackleTheChains ini happened to come across a time article in 2008. it was basically talking about the high turnover in american faiths.
it mentioned the jdubs and highlighted the following point.. an even more extreme example of what might be called "masked churn" is the relatively tiny jehovah's witnesses, with a turnover rate of about two-thirds.
that means that two-thirds of the people who told pew they were raised jehovah's witnesses no longer are — yet the group attracts roughly the same number of converts.

I think one of the many reasons there is a high turnover rate is that the WT Society has to keep re-creating " new light " or indoctrination processes to keep the " old light " from burning out. The longer a JW remains a JW then some of them stay long enough to see the failed " end times " predictions of 1975 and bail out. But then you get new converts who come into the JW cult after the year 2000 who don't know about the WT's failed predictions. And they remain gullible- unless they research the Internet. But some of them won't because they are told not to look at any negative information related to the WT Society. So they remain in the cult with blinders on like a horse. I hope many more will escape in time

How Would You Console A Witness Who Has Lost A Loved One?
by minimus inlet’s say that you haven’t been around a kingdom hall in years and everyone knows you are not a “true believer “ anymore.
yet a tragedy strikes and you want to give a real heartfelt expression of your feelings— what would you say?
would you acknowledge the resurrection hope that the witnesses entertain or say something very different?.

I've experienced this and what I say to JW former friends or JW relatives is that " I'm deeply sorry for your loss and please know that I'm always here if you ever need to talk. " If it's a JW relative I'll say, " I'm so sorry for your loss, I'm always here if you want to talk or come to visit, my door is always open to you. "
I NEVER bring up the " resurrection " hope - because the last thing a JW needs is someone feeding them the delusion that their dead loved one is going to come back again. To do that would be reinforcing their fake, pretend beliefs . Much more honest and helpful to just tell them you are deeply sorry, that you are here to support them in any way and you are there if they ever need or want to talk. It's how I see this anyway- because you are offering viable help that you can deliver on- instead of a " pie in the sky " " airie fairie " promise that you cannot deliver on. These JW's get enough fake promises not delivered by the WT Society as it is- why add to those fake promises ? Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Guys like these need to be locked up for life and the key thrown away, too much of a danger in re-offending and molesting even more children. To have NO conscience whatsoever and keep giving talks at conventions faking his elder role- is disgusting. If I had a dollar for how many of these dimwits I've seen serving as elders who had no right to serve over the years I was in the JW cult- I'd be a millionaire by now. There's more of these guys than people know- and the scary thing there's probably hundreds of these predators still serving worldwide if the truth came out. I researched my hometown on the Megan's Law website to see if I noticed any JW's I used to know when I lived there and I saw 12 JW's I used to know out of the 1,000 registered sex offenders names on that list. One reason to keep making it public how criminal the WT Society policy is regarding child abuse

Good god almighty. Just got done reading the " instructions " ( if you can call them that ) to elders regarding child abuse in congregations. There are so many holes in these instructions like holes in a sinking ship , my god.
Paragraph 10 , " As it says, " we're talking about an adult guilty of molesting a child, or an adult who has sexual contact with a child but did not PARTICIPATE VOLUNTARILY IN THE ACT. " WTF ? Once again like always - the WT Society leaves a door open to punishing children indicating that CHILDREN may at times participate VOLUNTARILY in a sexual act with adults. That's bullshit. A minor child 17 years old or younger is usually always intimidated by an adult ; especially if the adult threatens a child or the child's family with harm if the child refuses to have sex with the adult molester. Once again, like always in the past : WT Society is showing it's idiocy and insensitivity to the real issues of child abuse - ABUSE OF POWER - by treating it as a " sexual " sin like fornication or adultery in claiming children might be guilty at times. This shit makes me shiver in disgust at WT leaders who make this crap up.
Also they hit on this point AGAIN ! Paragraph 14 - " Although victims of sexual abuse are not prosecuted, if the body of elders considers that the congregation should take action in the case of a MATURE CHILD who VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATED in a wrongful act, two of it's members should call the department of service Before proceeding. " Unbelievable. Here's a concept- just make it mandatory to report any child abuse to the fucking police authorities without the whole " report to the Service Department " BS - or " report to WT legal " BS .
And then THIS little nugget in Questions for paragraph 17 : " The Service Department will ask the elders to inform the family heads with younger children in the congregation of the need to monitor their relationship with that person. This measure will be taken ONLY WHEN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SO REQUIRES . Here we go again, ultimate control by the WT Society. So an elder has his hands tied by ' mother ' as to being able to warn or inform other parents of the dangers of child molesters in the congregation - not until ' mother ' says it's O.K. to do so. By that time the child molester may have raped 7 to 10 more children !
Truth of the matter is WT Society does NOT have the skills necessary to protect their children from child molesters, nor the skills needed to address these crimes properly. They need to turn it over to police authorities first instead of putting these abuse victims and their families through a slow as molasses investigation process performed by the WT Society in a bumbling Inspector Clouseau manner . O.K. I'm done. I'm gonna pop a blood vessel if I continue here.

" Humility or Ability - Which Does Jehovah Prefer ? "
Translation : We prefer elders to be idiots - that way we can mold them into being WT Society spiritual hit men to abuse the flock.
AND - Only 45 minutes spent on point 10. " Protecting Minors from Abuse " . They should have spent at least 2 hours on this session. They spent more time on the " evaluating pioneers " part than protecting minor children. But that stands to reason - WT leaders don't put much of a priority on children's safety - only how it affects their WT bank account or how to instruct elders to keep child abuse confidential out of the earshot of " worldly " attorneys and " worldly " media so WT doesn't get exposed. Disgusting

" The Rarimuri woman ( the JW ) has charged that in overruling her to make medical decisions on behalf of her child, she has been discriminated against on grounds of her ethnic origins and religious beliefs. " No- she's being ' discriminated ' against because she's endangering her child's life by making idiotic and death dealing medical decisions which will kill her daughter. Which is why the daughter should be kept placed under guardianship away from a mother who allows her daughter to die because of some half baked superstitious belief.

When someone you love has gone.
by compound complex insince i don't have you,i conjure up an image thatis both real and ideal.. what i do recall is etched in sharp relief, but deeply, in dark caverns of my mind.. the heart is a better well of reminiscence as it draws upan intangible but true past.. a newfound, tranquil corner inme reassures that love, thoughgone missing, is never lost..

CoCo- I love the final line to your poem- I am currently transforming into that place in my life still ( albeit at times through tears ) as my mom passed away last December and my dad died a few months ago in July. They were married almost 70 years . Music , listening to it and playing it , my wife, my adult son, and close friends and some non-JW family all help to ease that pain of loss. The ' newfound, tranquil corner ' is what I eagerly anticipate as I throw myself back into living and life, caring, and loving. As the Beatles once said, " And in the end , the love you take , is equal to the love you make."
You are creating and making love abound by your kind poem here today. Much appreciated my friend. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

This week's "Give Us Your Money" meeting item.
by freddo inif you went to it, (or go later this week) how was it handled?
just the video or some commentary too?.
i have heard of a few negative comments from some that attended - one jw even openly said to me "not very encouraging, all they go on about is money lately" and another (a serving elder, no less) said "someone's got to pay for all those lawsuits".

FREDDO- Thanks for the thread. Needs to be bumped up to show the disgusting lack of shame in WT leaders begging for money
