  DREAMERDUDE- Thanks for the info. So it's as corny as I thought then. It's the same old " we are a people for special possession " - or - " Jehovah's people are SO special " - or - " we are so separate from the world our shit doesn't stink ! " In other words- same old exclusivity crap. Makes me gag. JW's think they're so special- yet they aren't even a blip on the radar screen in the huge world view

  Anthony Morris - The Higher Education Broadcast

  last night i had jw broadcasting on in the background while i was working, i like to keep up to date with their crap.

  which is strange because when i actually was a jw i hated reading or watching their material.. anyway, on the streaming section, anthony morris comes on screen telling me that higher education is bad and "the better the university, the greater the danger".

  i never would have believed it if i hadn't seen him say it myself.

  Anthony Morris should go dig a hole for himself and crawl into it. What an idiot. Or as the sports commentator Jim Rome used to say on his show to stupid callers who called in - " stop talking " . My son now 32 years old is only a month away from getting his Bachelor's degree at college and out of the 8 JW or EX-JW adult children in my family I believe that only he and my adult niece will have Bachelor degrees. If it wasn't for both of them keeping their nose to the grindstone and persevering - they wouldn't have accomplished this. I'm deeply proud of both of these young people as the JW organization odds were stacked up against them !

  If the GB wasn't so tunnel visioned in their teachings - perhaps GB member Morris and others wouldn't just be firing on 1 brain neurotransmitter and make idiotic statements dissing higher education. They'd have multiple brain neurotransmitters firing and not be so bogged down in their own heads with cult mind control. But they have evil intent on controlling JW's lives- so they'll never change.   he was trying to convince us that the memorial was at the new moon.

  Yes, Punk, I'd say that's a fair statement indeed. Great thread. Totally agree. WT leaders are in it for selfish reasons. As Blondie wrote - WT leaders never admit to mistakes , so never feel they need to be shown forgiveness, so they are very harsh and unforgiving to their JW rank & file members. The message the rank & file get is just give, give, give ,more time & money to " kingdom interests " . Translation WT Society corporate leaders interests

Like if Jesus existed he'd pick leaders of an organization to " dispense timely spiritual food " that allow pedophiles to roam free from congregation to congregation and leaders who make excuses for their child abuse policies in not protecting innocent children ?   This comment sticks in the craw for sure for many of us like some mentioned here : "Surely there is ample evidence to show that you can trust the channel that Jehovah has used for nearly a hundred years now . " Seriously ? Let's count the reasons to NOT trust in this supposed " channel " .

  1. In 1879 the " end " or Armageddon was forecast to happen in 1879. Did not happen. Then in 1925, did not happen. Then in 1975, did not happen. Then in about 2009 the WT Society claimed that Jesus prophecy of a " generation " actually referred to TWO overlapping generations of about 70 to 80 years each thus extending the time for the alleged " Armageddon " or " end " to happen way into the 21st century. Has not happened.

  2. For years leading up to 1935 the alleged gathering of the " anointed " to rule in heaven with Christ was taking place according to the WT Society. WT Society taught from 1935 until about 2006 or so that the gathering of these " anointed " had stopped, the number was " sealed " or " done " . The number of those partaking at the yearly Memorial dropped from 15,000 or more to about 4,000 by 2006. In 2006 WT Society claimed the " door " was now reopened to allow more anointed to be "chosen " to go to heaven again. The number wasn't sealed . ( Of course this policy changed as many GB members who were anointed died- and due to NEW GB members being picked who didn't claim to be of the " anointed " - forced them to change this rule. ) Due to the policy of accepting more " anointed " now by 2017 the worldwide number partaking the emblems has jumped back up to about 16,000 to 17,000 . I thought we were told most of the anointed would " die off " before " Armageddon " ?

  3. JW members are not allowed to receive life saving blood transfusions or their children either or they'll die at this alleged " Armageddon " or be disfellowshipped. Thousands of JW's have died due to this horrific WT policy.

  4. For many years the WT Society policy on child abuse has stated for elders to report FIRST to the WT legal department BEFORE reporting child abuse incidents to police authorities. Thus thousands of innocent JW children are left endangered by pedophiles remaining unchecked within the JW congregations. Parents are NOT informed in any public announcements as to WHO these child molesters are so as to be able to protect their children. Thus justice gets prevented from happening and child molesters are even let back into congregations to victimize children again if they are DFed then reinstated back into the congregations after being deemed " repentant " . 99 % of these molesters don't change- how could they truly be considered " repentant " ? Yet we are supposed to trust WT appointed elders because they claim these molesters are " repentant " ? Once again the hollow words of the GB ring falsely " just trust us " .

  5. The shunning policy which breaks up countless JW families in which any JW who chooses to leave the WT Society CULT will lose all their friends or family and moral support they had through their entire lives over the years. In a number of cases this causes severe depression, suicide, sadness, anger, and mental instability within those who choose of their own free will to leave this criminal organization the WT Society and Jehovah's Witnesses. Yet will WT Society leaders be held accountable for any of these policies ? Nope. They get off scot free from any damage that occurs .

  6. The WT policy of putting down " higher education " and discouraging any JW's from getting a college education. As JW's we were told we would get " Satan's mind " or we would start thinking with " independent thinking " if we received " higher education " . Young JW's were even told in a 1968 Awake magazine to " not bother " with getting a higher education - because Armageddon would come and all your learning would be " useless " in the alleged " paradise " . That was almost 50 years ago when WT Society printed this. For the many JW's that followed this advice - poverty, hunger, loneliness due to not getting married, and bankruptcy followed.

  These are only 6 items I mentioned on WHY anybody should NOT trust the leaders of the WT Society on how to live their lives. If you are a lurking JW sitting on the fence having doubts about WT leaders and are considering jumping off that fence to freedom of mind away from the dangerous organization Jehovah's Witnesses - please for the sake of your sanity and that of your family - do not hesitate any longer. The longer you stay in this organization- the longer you will remain enslaved and living locked in mental chains designed by WT leaders to control your life UNTIL YOU DIE. I speak in honesty and from the heart here. Take it from one who was born into it and escaped at age 44 years ago. Sincerely, Mr. Flipper

  PALE EMPEROR- Great thread. Thanks for posting it. Very interesting quotes. I agree- we smell fear within the leadership of the WT Society now for sure.

  This quote I thought was particularly revealing and exposing - " Do not be " quickly shaken from your reason " when faced with what appear to be damaging attacks by apostates or other such deceivers of the mind - HOWEVER PLAUSIBLE THEIR CHARGES MAY SEEM. " And that's the catch phrase here- WT Society is ADMITTING ever so slightly that some of these negative charges against them may seem to be valid, accurate, may seem to be plausible or even make sense - but then they tell JW's to turn off their minds and dismiss it as a " deception " .

  These are thought stopping techniques that all mind control cults use to get their members to DISOWN their own minds and reasoning - then hand their mind over to the WT Society on a silver platter. And of course this WT article blames it on " Satan " if any JW's HAVE doubts about these negative charges brought against WT leaders - then JW's start doubting their own reasoning thinking- " oh my god, Satan is making me have these doubts and lack of trust in the GB ! " It's such an evil and insidious way of controlling and manipulating JW people it's disgusting. Yet unfortunately it works on those whose brains are turned off.

  Stay tuned- I feel we will see more fear mongering from WT leaders this summer at these District conventions. The fear is amping up indeed

  Rest in Peace Floyd Kite . He was just as deluded as the rest of them- just a lot nicer than the rest of them. A real person. I met him when I was a teenager in the 1970's , He really did push the 1975 thing. I wonder what he was thinking right before he died at age 90 in 2017 ? Still- I feel sorry for him and older JW's like my dad who wasted 60 to 70 years of their lives on un unreality of imaginary everlasting life promised by the WT Society. So many wasted lives.   Me and my wife watched all of Leah's shows- the entire series. And we saw the Bill Maher interview. And you are correct. If a person just substitutes " Jehovah's Witnesses " where " Scientology " is mentioned it's the same horrific damage that's done to cult members. After being out of the JW's for almost 14 years- I not only got angered by the abuse done within Scientology- but I cried tears of sadness for the interviewed ex-Scientologists who lost family and friends due to shunning. The pain was VERY real on their faces and within them as their sorrow was evident in the tears that flowed. I cried right along with them as I watched - not only crying for what THEY have experienced in being shunned - but in what I've experienced personally, and continue to experience being virtually totally shunned by my adult daughters and not being allowed to see my year and a half old grandson. It hurts like hell- everyday. But I can only hope that my daughters eyes will open up someday. They are both entering their 30's now- and that's when I first started having my first stirrings of doubts. One can only hope. Everyone owes it to themselves to watch Leah Remini's series - very important- very educating
