Three congregations dissolved and a kingdom hall sold within a 50 mile radius in my area...

has anyone else heard of these situations with congregations and halls in your area?

i thought the ground breaking mandatory pledge a little while ago was to keep up with "immense" growth?

how soon they forget... looks really bleak for the future of the wbats, the jw gravy train seems to be coming to a slow and agonizing yet inevitable stop.

This is happening all over the United States right now as the WT Society put a stop to all construction on new kingdom halls - except up in rural New York at the new " Bethel " . Now WT Society is consolidating many congregations forcing people to drive 30 miles or more to just attend meetings. And for what reason ? Financial gain $$$$$$$ of course !

Last spring I even heard my JW son in law complaining about this wondering if their little kingdom hall was going to be sold- forcing him and my daughter to drive for miles to attend meetings. It's not a pretty picture in JW land right now. One moment a couple years ago the WT Society was saying to rank & file JW's " We have a need for money ! Help further kingdom interests ! WE need your contributions. " Now it's , " No need for further construction, we're good. We still need your contributions though. "

It's a scam of epic proportions. They've already forced congregations to make payments to the WT Society in remodeling thousands of kingdom halls to cause indebtedness of congregations to the Society- now we see what the reasons for that all was- to keep money coming in to offset child abuse scandals, to pad the WT Society's billion $$$$$ worth of sales of prime Brooklyn property - and to start up a NEW scam- sweeping uncrowded kingdom halls out from under congregations who have paid for these halls with volunteer labor, volunteer donations - then forcing JW's to drive 30 miles or 45 minutes to meetings because no Kingdom hall is left in their area !

" Jehovah's " warm bounty of " Christian love " being displayed by the Governing Body is just dizzying isn't it ? Of course according to the new June WT - even if jW's DISAGREE with this situation- they still have to obey " God's chosen servants and his sovereignty " - right ? So disgusting I could puke

JUST FINE- You just see it differently than I do, and I respect that. I see signs of information control in the Trump administration - just like occurs what within the WT Society leadership.

Your statement, " a little respect on both sides would help the situation" . O.K. Then try explaining that to Trump when he puts down former president Obama at news conferences by telling the crowd " now you have a REAL president ! " I mean, realistically ,come on- how insulting can he get ? It's pretty freaking obnoxious and rude for sure. I cannot stand Trumps bragging, his lack of ethics, manners, or idiocy. There has never been a less qualified president elected to office ever- in my opinion

June 2017 Watchtower - Jehovah's Sovereignty is at stake if you disagree with us

four years ago the watchtower made the following demand.

all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.

they are not content with obedience and in the upcoming june watchtower they have this to say -15. how does respect for theocratic headship reveal our love for jehovah’s way of ruling?15 what is our response to divinely authorized headship?

WT statement from the June WT , " Even if we do not fully understand OR AGREE with a decision , we will still want to support theocratic order. "

WT Translation - What they REALLY mean : " Even if you as Jehovah's people don't AGREE with our policies dealing with child abuse , shunning, not going to college, no blood transfusions, you as Jehovah's people will still NEED to support theocratic order to remain in good standing in the congregation. "

WT P.S. - " Even IF we are a criminal organization, the Governing Body still have DIVINELY AUTHORIZED HEADSHIP . Deal with it. " Peace out, Mr. flipper

I've read everyone's comments on here to our friend Doubtful- and I have to tell each of you how honored and thankful I feel to be on a board with all of you beautiful people showing this new poster care and empathy. Something we didn't receive much of in the JW organization. We have a really cool and compassionate community here on this board. I consider you all friends. Hope we might meet someday.

Some years ago, elder talked bad things about me in field service.....

i just thought about my old congregation where an elder met worldly married couple in field service some years ago.

the couple knew me for years but we do not know each other very well and they mentioned my name to him and he started to talk bad things about me!

IAMALLCOOL- Hey buddy, I empathize with you and feel you. If I thought about all the thousands of times my JW family and other former friends have talked bad about me in the past- it would drive me crazy dude. Best to try to move on from it and realize these JW assholes never were our friends and that THEY are the mind controlled deluded ones . Their minds are screwed up 6 ways from Sunday man . There is no rhyme or reason in what they do or how they speak. And the WT Society has robbed them of any real human compassion or empathy- translation : We won't be getting any sympathy cards from them soon. Cut your losses and move on is my advice. ZEB- Thanks for posting this information. Very informative. I'll have to read it carefully all the way through. WT Society is being exposed for what it is- a criminal organization that protects criminals, dangerous ones at that.

In the U.S. WT leaders are trying to skirt around any negative publicity of the child abuse crisis by settling these hundreds of WT child abuse cases with victims out of court- so as to avoid media exposure. One reason they have sold off Bethel properties and are selling off many kingdom halls to have the cash flow to settle out of court with gag orders being placed on child abuse victims. I'm sure they are attempting to put out child abuse fires worldwide right now. WT leaders don't want any more Candace Conti type situations dominating major news headlines.

But WT can only put out these fires and try to hide it so long from the public- in time financially they'll run out of money trying to cover up their skeletons in the closet - and the skeletons will turn into live Zombies and come back and rip WT apart . WT leaders can only hide in the shadows so long. Just a matter of time, but it will take time for this to happen. I can hardly wait. Justice needs to be served against these WT leader bastards for the sake of children who have suffered

The REAL news at the moment is at least in America thousands of constituents of our population are meeting in town halls across the United States speaking loudly about their grievances to their local Republican congressmen about their grave concerns regarding the Trump administration's damaging policies. These demonstrations aren't just happening in the streets people- folks are voicing very strong opinions . Having to actually chase down Republican congressmen to answer their questions or have dialogues with them. In some states - Republican congressmen are refusing to even meet at town halls with constituents - or not replying at all. Those that do show up to hear the public- are getting an earful.

Meanwhile- back in the " world of Trump " we have his secretary of State Tillerson and others traveling to Mexico to " mend the fences " ( no pun intended ) with the Mexican president who Trump treated in an insulting way. Get used to Trump's cabinet in the next 4 years trying to put out fires across the planet that HE starts from his pie hole spewing out vitriolic, stupid shit. So that's the news for today folks- thanks for tuning in. Now for a commercial break from our local sponsors

DOUBTFUL 1799- Welcome to the forum and freedom of mind and critical thinking ability. Actually - your story is very similar to many folks on this board. And that's a good thing as you can benefit from the wealth of experience from folks here on the board who have experienced an awakening as well after being trapped inside the JW organization.

I was born and raised in the JW's and escaped over 13 years ago at age 44 . It's a long process of re-educating ourselves psychologically, emotionally, and physically to overcome mind control we received from the WT Society- but the ability to think for ourselves clearly once again without WT pollution clouding our minds is well worth the effort. If you get a chance to read all of Steve Hassan's books on cult mind control and how it infects people's minds- those books were a great help to me in exiting the Witnesses. His website is : www.freedomofmind.com. I highly recommend his books. It helps a person to understand HOW high control organizations like the Jehovah's Witnesses or Scientology are able to control our minds.
