The attorney, I believe Angus Stewart is his name did a really great job of putting Geoff Jackson up against a wall with his questions and exposed the lack of compassion and inhumanity of the WT leaders who put forth these policies of shunning along with all the rest of their crazy policies. Jackson disagreed with Stewarts views and it made him and the rest of the GB look like insensitive assholes. Which of course they are. No appearance of any " ethics " inside Jackson at all- just a lot of excuses and justification. Any of you JW's who are lurking- THIS is what your leaders look like and act like - the ones you are following. They will throw you under a bus in a heartbeat. Peace out, Mr. Flipper

SAIL AWAY- I'm really happy for you that you've been able to move on and have a great life away from all the madness ! I'm glad that both you and your husband have a close relationship with your daughter, son in law , and grandson . Family is so important, and more importantly having family that accepts you with love unconditionally is a great feeling. Take care, we'll have to catch up some time ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

It is absolutely galling to me that my wife submits herself to this madness
by jambon1 ini've tried to get over this, i honestly have.
since i stopped my kids going to meetings, things have gotten a little better.. but knowing the content of the convention programme that she was subjected to on friday, it amazes me and greatly annoys me that she goes back for more, today.
for her to sit there watching those crazy, fear mongering bunker videos.

JAMBON- As Scratchme said, your wife is under the influence of cult mind control. Anything the WT Society tells these JW's they'll eat it up thinking " God " allegedly is inspiring every utterance out of the GB's mouth. Another condition many JW's are under mentally is called the " Stockholm Syndrome " whereby most every JW will make excuses for the WT Society's crimes - even if it involves supporting WT Societies faulty child abuse policies and refusing to admit that the WT Society has serious ethical and moral deficiencies. So then rank & file JW's become unwitting accomplices with WT Society actions. It's something most JW's don't even realize is happening to them.
It's definitely a mental condition caused by years of indoctrination sitting at those meetings which affects what's inside the brain neurotransmitters which triggers JW's to stay inside the organization. Not until one removes themselves from hearing the WT indoctrination - can new information pathways be established inside those brain neurotransmitters. It's not just a psychological condition, it's a physiological condition.
I feel for you my friend. It's a tough thing to deal with when it's your mate. And that's putting it mildly. It's something that runs a lot deeper than most people realize. Even some ex-JW's don't totally understand the power and danger of cult mind control . One reason why after years of exiting the Witness organization, some will go back after being out 20 or 30 years. They are still under control of the WT Society through guilt and fear tactics used by WT leaders.
I hope the best for you, and we are always here as a support to you, but your wife will have to see this and hopefully awaken in her own time. Each person has to see it for themselves in time. I wish you the best, hang in there, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Rumor: Discouraging news from GB at upcoming CA?

Love the replies. Really funny stuff !
Seriously though, I feel that if there are any " disappointing " changes it may concern the selling off , liquidating, and consolidating congregations a lot more than the WT Society initially planned or thought. Lots of JW's right now are complaining about being forced to drive miles out of their way due to their hall being sold and these people feel like they're being put out to pasture- especially ex-Bethelites being sent home.
I don't think the WT Society would apologize about ANYTHING. They never have . Monkeys would sooner come flying out of my ass before these GB leaders would apologize for anything they've done.
Yeah, I think it may be the selling off of even more kingdom halls, land, etc. - and the WT leaders will just tell the rank & file, " you must have faith that Jah's faithful & discreet slave is handling it properly and show that faith brothers and sisters by your generous donations " ! Yeah, that sounds about par for the course to settle down restless JW's

Judge sanctions WTS - $4k per day penalty for not producing sex abuse documents
by Simon injudge sanctions jehovah's witnesses.
imposes $4000-a-day penalty for not producing documents in sex-abuse case.
by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.

I feel that exposing the WT Society's faulty and criminal policies about child abuse to the public and current JW's is of the utmost importance - especially in conjunction with the WT Society downsizing, selling off kingdom halls, booting people out of worldwide Bethels, and stopping all worldwide construction of kingdom halls, etc. This in and of itself should tell anybody that something is " rotten in Denmark " -

Do you think any animals will ever reach human intelligence?

I was going to say exactly what Simon said . " Some animals ARE already more intelligent than humans. " I mean if we need proof of that- look at the two clowns mainly running for president in the U.S -

Elders harassing me
by raven inhi everyone, it has been a while since i've last updated!
(refer to my previous posts for the full story) here is a quick re-cap: 2 months ago my mother found out that i am living with my boyfriend, she told me i was discovered by an "anonymous" tipper who turned me in for "living in sin".. first of all, that is nearly impossible, the congregation i was in is 100's of miles away from where i currently live.. no one would have ever known i was living with my boyfriend unless i told them, which i never did, i cut off all communication with that congregation in part of my attempted fade which was blown into pieces and discovered.. anyways, my mom tells me if i don't go to the elders and confess like a good little sheep, then she is obligated to tell them.. ( don't see why, i don't even live under her roof ) well i never went to them because why should i?
so they met with my mother and she told them i live with my boyfriend... let me remind you, this was two months ago.. i was told i was going to be df'd and that was that.

RAVEN- I agree with what Sir 82 said in, " What you should do depends on what you want ". Exactly.
You mentioned that your JW mom is already shunning you. So ask yourself if you are willing to accept that outcome. Only you know how close you are to your mom- or if losing her in your life is something you could handle- or not. It's your decision.
You could deny, deny, deny that you've done anything wrong but if you told your mom you are living with your boyfriend, the elders are going to keep hounding you until they get an answer. They are really good at NOT recognizing our personal boundaries. As Sir 82 mentioned, they are " trained that way ".
So as some others have mentioned here like Wolfman and others- if you want them to back off, threaten to get a " cease and desist " order from the police against them or if the harassing phone calls don't stop that you WILL get a restraining order against these local elders and tell them they will be getting a letter from your attorney !
As Sir 82 said, they may DF you in what's called " absentia " and two elders will either report to you that they've decided to DF you and that you have 7 days to appeal the decision before it's announced. I know this because I went through this same thing back in 2007 ( over 4 years after I stopped attending ) and I too had moved 80 miles from where I used to attend !
The difference in my situation from yours is that I never admitted to living with my fiancé before I married her - so they had no proof against me. But they still tried to DF me and I appealed the DFing with a threatening lawsuit letter AND I won my appeal ! They did NOT DF me. They called WT legal and WT legal told them to " leave this alone " and they overturned the disfellowshipping.
So you have to get tough with them. I had to go to an appeal JC meeting with 6 elders and stood my ground claiming innocence. That is key. You have to keep claiming you are innocent. Which may be difficult if you already " confessed " to your JW mom.
So it's up to you how much you want to hassle with these guys. If your relationship is important with your mom, you can try to appeal, but there are NO guarantees- especially if you've already admitted to it. Or- You could just ignore meeting with them and threaten legal action from the cops and your attorney- the elders MAY back off, or they may NOT back off. Depends on how tough the elder body is or if they're a bunch of pussies. They may hand over the decision to WT legal and then you'll wait another 2 months or so for your answer ! Believe me- it IS that crazy. Been there, done this.
So you have to ask yourself " how much do I want to emotionally handle "? The water gets deep, it gets rough, it's no walk in the park. The ONLY reason I fought my case was I still wanted to not be DFed so I could talk to my older JW mom, AND still talk to my JW adult daughters to try in time to reach them and get them out of the cult. If I was DFed - none of them would listen to me.
So I've tried to portray all the options here- good and bad, but bottom line it's your decision, everyone's circumstance is different. Just presenting options and eventualities here. I wish you the best of luck ! We are always here as a support system for you, O.K. ? Take care, and hang in there, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

The text is definitely too small.
It's like some of the "lost pet" signs put on poles or trees in neighborhoods - They write a whole bunch of stuff so small you'd have to pull your car over to read it.
Doesn't look like it will be effective. I hope I'm wrong.
