  you have to be strong especially if you were raised in a way of life that dictated so much of who you were .

  while being raised as a jehovah's witness i was taught to follow ,unquestionally follow .i was told to put others before myself ,serve,don't stand out ,don't be independent .

  TROUBLED MIND- Excellent thoughts in your thread . Thanks for posting those thoughts ! I experienced similar things you did being born and raised in the JW cult. Freedom of mind is one of the biggest things I treasure as well after exiting the JW's 12 years ago- not being TOLD what to think but using critical thinking skills to make my own decisions. I wish it didn't take me until age 44 - over 12 years ago for it to happen- but it happened when it happened and I'm going to make the best use of my life from here on out !   i discovered that my 96-year-old grandaunt had named her jw elder as personal representative of her estate and another jw "best friend" as her power of attorney.

  i learned that they used a financial advisor at wells fargo advisors to help raid my grandaunts bank accounts in the years before her death, and then the wt and jws received most of what was left of her estate.

  i am currently working on a book to expose this horrific practice.

  NANETTE- I'm so sorry that your aunt was treated so despicably. This elder and his accomplice should be strung up by the neck and hung for abuse of the elderly . Or locked into jail with the key thrown away.

  It reminds me of how my 88 year old JW mom has lost all control of her finances which she inherited from her non-JW dad - and my dad and older brother control everything now regarding her health and she's in a medi -cal facility now living out her days an hour away from her home.

  She's receiving much better care than your aunt did- but still- I truly believe that female JW's are really given less of a consideration regarding how much control they really have over their lives. You are right: something NEEDS to be done about this happening to older folks- especially women who cannot, or are not allowed to defend themselves and get taken advantage of by unscrupulous JW's or people wanting to get a piece of the financial pie at the expense of the aged one's health or even at the cost of their lives. It's disgusting. Please know that we are here for you as a support and empathize. Sincerely, Mr. Flipper

  Apple has been in the news for a year or two for their rather serious labor violations at their factories in China. This was where they put nets around the building to keep the workers from jumping off.

  So of course when Jackson went shopping for his watch, he would want to support Apple. How wonderful are their provisions for keeping their drones in line!

  Just the fact that they have their kangaroo courts run by petty, clueless bozos and are delusional enough to think it warrants being called a "judicial committee". They seem to like to puff themselves up into the role of police, investigators and judges.

  Effin' clowns. But not funny - they cause a great deal of harm.

  Having never been a jw or known much about them, imagine my shock 8 years ago when Flipper's ex-wife, daughter and their husbands drove 2 hours to my house to spy on us. They came unannounced to the door so they could peek inside for signs of Flipper living here. Then they sent the elders, and called the rest of the family. A lot of time and effort went into that petty, mean shit so they could shun Flipper (to this day).

  FREEMINDFADE- Thanks SO much for posting this. My wife and I signed it and my comment was posted as well condemning WT child abuse.

  People on our board - this petition as of now has 617 signatures- it needs 383 more to make the 1,000 needed to get submitted I believe to get a commission looking into this in the U.S. Let's all advocate for the abused JW children. There NEEDS to be a commission in the United States to check into this and grill WT leaders HERE on U.S. soil. The biggest majority of JW child abuse offenses ARE occurring here - so other countries may follow this lead if this petition goes through and we sign it. Let's strike while the iron is hot folks- PLEASE, PLEASE read the comments section when you look at the link that Freemindfade posted and you will read HUNDREDS of ex-JW's who are signing this petition that have been abused by JW father's, elders, and siblings, or other JW's - and they are showing the courage to GET SOMETHING DONE. May we have the same COURAGE to sign this petition and let's help EXPOSE this criminal organization the WT Society and bring justice to the children.   JWs nearly killed my mother

  we live in the mountains and the nearest large hospital is about 150 kms away.

  COOKIEMASTER- I'm so sorry that your mom suffered these abuses from the JW cult. I'm so GLAD you were there for her to save her from the mind indoctrination of this evil organization. If she had died- I'd of sued their ass for murder. I'm so thankful you still have your mom. Great job my friend, I'm happy for you and your mom- and it sounds like this may be the beginnings of your mom awakening to TTATT. We will see. I think it's a good idea to stay in close contact with your mom so that your crazy JW dad doesn't try to " guilt trip " her over what she did. I know my crazy ass elder JW dad would do that to my older JW mom. I mean- hell- he put her away in a care facility for Christ sakes. Be watchful over your mom buddy- there is no END to what these sleazebag elders and WT Society representatives will try to do and encroach on our loved ones lives.
