the general census is that the jw's are very, very confused.

Governing Body, painted in a corner, now what?

the governing body have painted themselves in a corner, so to speak.

if they acknowledge their response to abuse claims was insensitive, unloving and inadequate they are denying the belief that "god's way" is best and risk losing abuse cases.

if they stick with it and say it is "god's way according to the bible" they will be seen as cult leaders and risk losing abuse cases.

Good thread. I think the GB is too arrogant to EVER apologize for anything they allow- criminal or not. This attitude permeates down into C.O.'s, elders, virtually every male JW in the organization- especially in regards to how women and children are treated . I have my own 89 year old elder dad as an example- the man has never admitted to ANY fault or mistakes in his life- ever. He has had over 64 years of indoctrination from the WT Society to " perfect " the art of compartmentalization and denial of responsibility. These guys learn this trait from the top WT dogs downward.

That being said I believe what needs to happen now is for any courts in Australia and worldwide and worldwide media anywhere to keep putting the pressure on the WT Society by constant media attention and exposing of the child abuse crimes occurring within the JW organization. This needs to be kept in the forefront and if many ex-JW's spread the word as well to ANYBODY we come across word eventually gets out.

So I think THAT is what happens now. Keep the pedal to the metal as the expression goes and remain proactive in exposing WT child abuse. Eventually it may crack and expose even more higher ups in WT land and hasten the exit of fence sitting JW's. My 2 cents

This is good news. I've already printed the New York Post article out on my printer and I'm going to be sharing this with the JW cart people hopefully this week in my little town. I might make copies of it and go leave a good number under car windshields at kingdom halls as well in several counties I work in. You know- get the word out. The " good news " has to be preached in all the nations first- right ? Then the " end " will come. Hopefully the end of this WT criminal organization

Extrapolation of the Australia child abuse numbers

basic facts:.

the australian royal commission has 1000+ documented cases of child abuse over 65 years.

SIR 82- Interesting thread. I think about 5 years ago or more someone here started a thread about how many child molesters are in each congregation after it was revealed about the 23,000 or whatever the count is of known JW pedophiles within the WT database files. Then someone calculated it out that it's no stretch of the imagination at all that there are probably for the most part about 1 or 2 child molesters in each congregation if averaged out. Some congregations may have as many as 5 to 7 - however some may not have any- that being said the average at 1 or 2 per congregation is WAY too many to be allowed and totally unacceptable to be happening. Especially when you consider how negligent the WT Society has been worldwide in not reporting child abuse incidents to police authorities. WT's secrets are being exposed in the media big time now. Needs to keep happening

P.S. Back in 2007 when I checked the Megan's law registered sex offender list in my hometown I was raised in - out of 1,000 sex offenders 12 of them I recognized as JW's or former JW's that I knew in my 25 years of being raised in that same town from birth. This is definitely a much bigger problem than many JW's realize. Peace out, Flipper

Over a 1,000 cases not reported in just Australia ? Wrap your mind around the other hundreds of countries worldwide that WT Society and JW's inhabit and have inhabited for over 60 years . Multiply that 1,000 in Australia by hundreds of other countries where JW child abuse has been hidden and you will probably get hundreds of thousands of cases that have never been reported. That is some serious hiding of major criminal activity. Disgusting

The avalanche is coming against you WT Society GB and WT leaders . How does it feel to be WT leaders ? Who's your daddy now ? How does it feel to be exposed as a CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION right in your own town and news media in your own backyard ? We are legion and are coming for you. We are child abuse victims - current and ex-JW's who you chose to ignore to help for many years. Some child abuse victims committed suicide due to your not caring. Minor children , thousands died through the years to not receiving blood transfusions. Minor children committed suicide due to being shunned for not following your criminal directions . Are you willing to finally admit fault yet ? Or will you have to be brought to your knees by the criminal justice system ? I think that will be the case. Get ready to give up your power or get buried by this nice attention you are receiving

i was talking with two elders who said "you know if you return to the kingdom hall, jehovah will bless you and these people will stop screwing with you.

JUDAS- Welcome to the board. I'm sorry that you've experienced such injustices from elders or others. Those are some of the main reasons I left the organization back in 2003. Please know that we are here as a support to you and are here to offer our real friendship to you. It's good that you have your parents to support you and are able to be there for you. Keep your chin up. Hang in there. The road to mental freedom is a challenging one- but once it's attained your life will get better the less you have to be in the company of judgmental people - your wife, elders, anybody who judges you unfairly. People who do this to us can be a real poison to our lives.

If your wife would be willing to cast her judgments away from you and let you stop attending without her harshness your existence would be easier. Sounds like a time for a heart to heart talk with her to determine which way you want to go progressing forward. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

"Don't you love Jehovah anymore then ?"

mrs phizzy ran into a jw lady from a neighbouring congo who has known us since we were teenagers, before we married, sometime in the pleistocene era lol.. during the conversation said lady asked if mrs phizzy was going to the r.c, to which mrs phizzy replied, "oh you haven't heard, we no longer go to meetings".. the jw lady then came back with the question in the thread title, which mrs phizzy handled well.. the point of this is though, what a god-awful, stupid, cult-minded question to ask !.

did she think we woke up one morning and thought "we don't love god anymore" ??

would that happen to anyone ?.

This is the ploy my JW daughters have tried on me, " when are you coming back to Jehovah ? Don't you love Jehovah anymore ? " It's so bizarre. In skirting the question I just told them in the past that I have " doubts " and " questions " that I need answered in which I've already talked to my elder dad or other elders about. So I don't directly answer about coming back or " loving " Jehovah. Seems to work- sort of. At least I reconnected to some extent with my older JW daughter. Although I've called her 3 times in the last month and a half and have received no reply. Oh well- back to the drawing board. Like Life Is Too Short says talking with these people is almost impossible. Even when we stay calm and reasonable

Band Green Day and JWs

a few years ago i heard of a story about two jw's being at a green day concert.

i think that the witnesses were bethelites.

the person that told me that story said that the band was about to play but they couldn't.

I heard the rumor back in the day that the band Earth, Wind, and Fire did a similar thing asking any JW's to leave the audience because they couldn't communicate with their " God's " or " spirits " to get the right influence on their music playing. There's no telling how out of hand all these rumors get- JW's are the most gossip filled rumor mongering people I've known in my life. They'd throw their own parents under the table for good, juicy gossip. Oh wait- that already happens all the time. LOL
