How do you feel about religion as a whole?
by FatherFirst init just seems to me religion in general primarily makes truly bad people worse, not genuinly good people better; and in many cases has even made good people do bad things in the name of their religion.
just curious, a personal poll if you will.
what are you guys' current views on religion as a whole?

A person doesn't HAVE to be religious to do good to and for others or to BE a good person. One thing that's always bothered me is how when I've met somebody for the first time that's a " born again " Christian or is very active in their church- when initially meeting them they always have to tell me " I'm a Christian " - or " " we're Christians " - and I feel like saying , " so your point is " ? I mean- I don't say when I first meet somebody, " Hi ! My name is Flipper, I'm an agnostic or atheist ! "
Point is - I don't CARE what somebody CLAIMS to be - I'm more concerned with getting to know who they are AUTHENTICALLY - not their branding or marketing of themselves through some organization or religious affiliation. I'm not going to tell somebody I'm better than them for being an agnostic or atheist- but by gawd- I'm not going to believe anybody that says they are better than me because they're "Christian" either. Because it has NO bearing on whether a person is evil or good. Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Epic Discussion ( Confrontation ) with JW Cart People about WT Child Abuse
by flipper inso i had about had enough of reading jw's excuses online about wt child abuse and the candace conti nightline abc video about her case.

FERNANDO- Hey Thanks buddy - I appreciate it. I agree with you that if just one child is saved or one person is rescued or exits from the JW cult- it's worth spreading this information concerning WT child abuse injustices. One reason I keep spreading the word. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper -

Religion as a whole ? It sucks. Much of the religion today makes normal people turn their brains and neurotransmitters in their brains to superstitious silly putty - relying on inconclusive stories from the Bible and/or their Pastor's/ Minister's or elder's.
The rich, elite and powerful find religion useful to control the poor, downtrodden , insecure and weaker powerless people of society. People give all their power and control of their lives to religions hoping to find answers to life's questions - an easy way out - so to speak - so they don't have to find their own answers. It's much easier for some of these people to let somebody else explain the meaning of life to them , than for them to actually LIVE life in the here and now and not worry about a " living forever ", " going to heaven " , or a " rapture ". Reality is good- it's nothing to fear. So my message to religious people is stop being superstitious and enjoy living your life in the here and now. How I see it. Some people feel they need answers supplied to them- other people just let life educate them with answers learned in day to day living

Indiana "Religious Freedom" (right to discriminate)
by Simon insickening to see the photo of the religious zealots all stood around the governor signing into law the right for people to discriminate against others (gay, lesbian, trans-gender) based purely on religious dogma.. if religious people want those freedoms then the can't have it both ways - they cannot complain if *they* are discriminated against.. "sorry, we don't like zionists, get out".
"oh, it's some special mass and you can't work your shift?
you're fired!"..

You would think the president of the United States could invoke some sort of constitutional rules or laws into effect to prevent the Indiana Governor " Dickhead " to not be able to pass such prejudiced laws.
Out here in California there has been some jerk off attorney trying to get passed in legislation to " kill gays and lesbians ". Absolutely horrific. Our Attorney General Kamala Harris is working on getting that eliminated and not allowed to even be submitted on a bill.
I don't believe in the Bible, but when you see idiots like this governor or attorney in California doing such despicable actions - when Proverbs said, " foolishness has been put in many high positions. " Man- no truer words have been spoken especially in instances like this concerning prejudice and discrimination no matter who it's against. One reason I wrote a song titled : " Prejudice and Ignorance. " Because the two phrases go hand in hand. Can't have one without the other

I Should Have Just Kept Avoiding Their Videos
by OnTheWayOut ini have a 2011 new year resolution to avoid reading jw literature or watch their videos.i am not "religious" about it, and will watch/read excerpts, but pretty much stick with that resolution as it only angers me when i read the stuff.. well, someone posted their video of philippines disaster relief due to a 2013 typhoon as a response to a news article to demonstrate that they are not really helping and that it is just propaganda.
i watched the video and was immediately able to see what the hell is wrong with jw's and their leadership and, as i figured- i was angered.. so i will post this link, but then go back to not watching/reading.
it just isn't worth it.. in the video, when they knew the storm was coming, the pre-planned disaster relief people texted elders to warn them to evacuate.

OTWO- Wow. I just saw the you tube - it is SO pushing WT marketing it's ridiculous. As always they only emphasize the " good " that the " brothers and sisters " or WT Society is doing, typical.
But I found these quotes interesting - The young girl walking through the kitchen saying, " we put the literature in the refrigerator " And there it was literature stuffed into a refrigerator. A priority in life saving times ? And the 13 year old survivor who lost her family stating, " the brothers tell me that in the last days we cannot avoid calamities like this. " Like any supposed time period has any bearing on when a 250 mile per hour typhoon hits. And she stated, " the elders told me it was O.K. to cry " ( I'm glad she got permission ) and they reminded me to " read scriptures that reminded me of the resurrection. " Like that should soften the blow of losing her family ? Sick .
And then the well fed Mark Sanderson stating, " Sometimes you feel overwhelmed , Jehovah will help you out through what you're experiencing. " As he can easily go back to his fat cat Bethel apartment with being well provided for by the WT Society as he advises the homeless Phillipine brothers what to do. WT Society always pats itself on the back like nobody else on the planet cares. Pretty weird. I can see why this upset you, me too

I agree with others good suggestions here and handle this like - right now. Or as soon as possible. Your wife IS disrespecting you because she feels you aren't being the alleged " spiritual head " of the family - so she disrespectfully gets some other guy in the congregation to study with your son. That's ridiculous. First off I think you need to explain to your wife that SHE is in the wrong not respecting you by keeping you out of the loop. Then go tell the " brother " studying with your child that you don't respect him for going behind your back- then go to the elders telling them that you and your wife will handle any " teaching " of info to your son.
Bottom line like Outlaw said and you need to keep this firmly in your mind - these people ARE trying to break your family up. You've been conditioned by WT mind control to think it's to " help " or " assist " your son- the only thing it's going to assist is implanting thoughts into your son's head that YOU his dad are evil and his MOM is considered " righteous " by WT standards- so you lose by default. They try to cut you off from your son. It's time to cowboy up and take the reins on this horse and seize control of the situation or they will kick you off of the horse. Kind of how I see it. Good luck, we are here for you, Peace out, Mr. Flipper
