Don't think i should have sent the text i just did ....
by dobbie inthink i just did something really stupid.
i have had a bad couple of days.
i was in the playground yesterday and had my jw bil stood right in front of me ignoring me totally (i'm d'ad) but talking to my hubby, who said nothing to him (her my eifes here too or something would have been nice) so i felt like total dogs poo and we both ended up in tears over it all when i got home.

Active witnesses are greedy and selfish. Most aren't interested in serving God, they are interested in living forever. The society capitalizes on that greed and extorts time and money from them. If the GB announced tomorrow that a new light revealed there was no heavenly hope or resurrection, but that Jehovah still wanted people to serve him and preach, the organization would immediately collapse.
very good point, that's how i feel also. witnesses act like it's love of god, it's not, it's all about the pay out.

but, who do you feel is MOST at fault here? remember, without the members, the org. is powerless to do anything.

Censorship, when to apply it?

" in her speech, griffin said that a lot of people come up here and thank jesus for this award.
i want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than jesus.. she went on to hold up her emmy, make an off-color remark about christ and proclaim,"this award is my god now!".

as for this comment:
never...censorship is never acceptable to me..I would rather read, see, or hear something that was offensive to me than to know that someone wasn't able to express themselves in a way that was right and comfortable for them.
even if it's child pornography? or the advocation of such. there are websites that try to do this. should they be protected?
anyone that knows me, knows i hate censhorship. it drives me nuts. but, it is needed in SOME cases. true, it's hard to know where to draw the line, but, some things are just obvious.

he said he was just getting in touch with the local people in his cong.

My brother thinks we should call back and tell the elder " We haven't left Jehovah. We feel that Jehovah left the fake, corrupt and false religion taught in the cong. and we left WITH him/her. And we would appreciate it if you didn't call us back again."
if your ready to make an exit, this is a perfect statement. turn the tables on them, control the conversation, keep them off-balance. don't allow them to dance around your questions, give it to them with both barrels.
if your not ready to leave, for whatever reason, act like you are depressed and need some spiritual upbuilding. then after a bit, fade again.

clam, i couldn't have put it better.
the way i see it, we need to try to fix our problems on our own and stop looking for unproven divine guidance. if there is some being known as god or whatever, i think he would or will let us know what's up when the time is right. in the meantime, love one another, and be a good person. let's try to make a difference together.
