..Besides, have ou seen pictures of the new system? I swear, you can tel there aren't any gay people because all those sister with the big hair and those horrible sun desses from the 50's *shudders* It's like fashion and individuality die in the new system (unless you're a person of color then you get to wear kimonos and african garb all day)

i seem to be "stuck" in between worlds.

Yep. I do, but it's not debilitating. I've come to accept myself the way I am. I try to change things I don't like about myself and I have managed to change some things, but others are just there to stay.

Being raised a JW, you are always going to draw on those childhood experiences. We learned to withdraw, suck up the feeling of being different, put on a "happy" face to show the world that "we are God's organization of the happiest people in the world." We were different, we were misfits, we were a study in dichotomy.

To some extent, we have to accept that that's part of who we are today. That's why finding JWD is like finding your tribe of kinsmen. WE ALL FIT IN HERE. We're all very different but the same. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE? As time goes by, you learn to assimilate and accomodate and the feeling of being a misfit diminishes, but I don't think it ever fully goes away. You always feel just a little bit different for having been in a mind-controlling suppressive repressive oppressive CULT.

multiple instances of direct communication, witnessed by multiple people

Like some sort of UFO landing and informing us that they are our creators? And, of course, multiple witnesses would need to be present to "hear" this claim from this highly intelligent, super technological, "God". I get it.

Bizzy Bee This IS Sunday. She's probably gone to the meeting then out in field service. Perhaps she had a Bible study as well. She was probably just too tired today to THINK or the meeting zapped her mental energy (more like numbed it). She'll be back when you least expect it.

I'm reading some stuff that connects prayer and quantum science. Fascinating! It talks about how prayer creates a vocabulary of its own in the silent language of feeling. Thoughts, feelings, and emotions are vibrations like everything else and when aligned in union with each other, these vibrations are projected into the refined substance of consciousness and each has an effect. Prayer is virtually a forgotten technology as of about 1500 years ago. It has sunk into a mere ritual of requests and thanksgiving and we have just about lost the ancient wisdom associated with the "SCIENCE" of real prayer.
