  when i was in the borg, i had no idea of the stories my grandparents (both wwii vets) were telling me.

  now that i've done my tour, and can relate to some the stories that these 'weirdo war vets' have told me, i'm starting to get it.

  i'm curious as to what doctrines you teach.

  is it "jesus is love.

  Say, your neighbor likes having sex with animals....do you intervene? What if your neighbor loved veal and kept baby calves in his basement? The blood-curdling cries at night sending shivers up your spine. What if you found out your neighbor and his "son" were members of NAMBLA? Would you report them?

  I'm suddenly curious about the neighborhood you live in.

  Living and doing what I want and when I want. That's free thinking. I do know the difference between right and wrong, good and bad and I live a good life as easily without faith as anyone would with faith.

  place for healing and connection or co-dependent feeding frenzy?.

  Healing. Can someone heal from the total loss of a childhood and the abuse endured while being raised a JW? Can someone heal from the rejection by a parent because you don't share thier belief's? The answer for me is comparable to a number, divide it by two over and over again and you never reach zero. No total healing.

  Connection. It's been beneficial on the JWD. I felt alone for more than thirty years and here I found I'm not alone. I've gotten much closer to zero because of it.

  Feeding frenzy. A strong phrase. We do at time's vent here and many listen and try to console and give advice. Getting even closer to zero.

  I just got out of the hospital now marco is in the hospital .

  i am looking all through my postings to see if my son richard posted about my being rushed to the hospital on may 1st.

  and i guess he didn't do as i asked, little monkey wait till i get my hands on that boy.. yes this little furry beastte was in the hospital with a rare form of viral bronchial pneumonia,, that of course with asthma ,sent my body into a downward spiral.

  to beat all attached to this vicious virus is the attack on the brain.

  Pulmonary embolism

  i just found out through the grapevine that my brother had a pulmonary embolism (blood clot went into his lung and almost killed him) a couple of weeks ago.

  he's ok now, and the doc has him on blood thinners, which he'll need for the rest of his life, to keep it from happening again.

  it's pretty amazing that he survived, as these things are usually only diagnosed during autopsies, it's not too often people survive them.

  Talk to your doctor. Maybe he would recommend aspirin on a daily basis. That may work and be better than side effects from drugs. I'm on aspirin because of mini strokes caused by clots.

  URGENT HELP: I need some help with statistics calculations - please!

  okay so this is for an assignment - due in at midnight tomorrow.

  its a tiny part of it but the accuracy is paramount and i can't get my head around it and so if anyone can help with the math i'd be very grateful.. .

  i want to show what percentage higher the gni of the uk is above france.
