No, I am actually in Northern Virginia. I put the Galapagos and birthdate of 2012 in when I opened the account 5 years cause I wasn't disassociated yet. I just can't remember how to change it now.

I am actually leaving in a few days w/ my friends for a 10 day trip to South Africa. We will be in Cape Town for the beginning and then ending up at the Pilanesberg National Park. I think we have 4 game drives planned and I know that we are going to Robben Island and doing the zip-line in Sun City. Woo Hoo!

Went to District Convention this weekend with no Badge brother talks in 3rd person to Witnesses "Who's this guy? A study? WTF
by Witness 007 ina brother who's a friend of mine introduces me...but i have no "keep on the watch" badge so he stares at me...then where the badge should be...then back at me...turns to the brother with me ignoring me and says "who's this guy?
is he a study.." he had a smug ass#ole look on his face.
like people without badges can't talk.

I am wondering why for the past two years you have continually criticized JWs, calling them hypocrites and accusing them of draining the world's blood supply, yet you still attend the district conventions. Hypocrites come in all forms. Keep calling that kettle black.

Why is it that JWs can toss around insults like "Worldly" when talking about non-JWs? (Fiancee got offended).
by SnakesInTheTower inso yesterday i get this telephone call from a jw sister.
let's call her sister naive.
i knew sister naive when she was a teenager, knew her ex-husband when he and i were growing up in the congo.

First off, Snakes, congrats on your engagement.
Secondly, I want to thank your fiancee for pointing out that how you (and every other XJW on earth) are being treated now is exactly the way that you (and we) were treating other people. Many, many, many XJWs get so caught up in their bitterness that they tend to forget that they were, in fact, as bad if not worse than many JWs today. Thank you, Snakes' fiancee!
Lastly, what purps said! :-)

What do you do for canker sores?
by daniel-p inbecause mine is hurting like a mofo here... it's at the back of my cheek, where my lower and upper jaw connect, and i can't close my teeth without chomping on it because its swollen out.
my lymph glands under my neck hurt to the touch, the entire side of my head down to my shoulders hurt.. i've tried peroxide mouthwash, salt mouthwash, orajel (which help for about 30 seconds), and aspirin placed on it (which helps for about ten minutes).
today, at work, i put a bunch of salt directly on it which just stung like the dickens for about 10 minutes and now i'm back to square one with the ongoing pain.

I feel your pain. I was plagued w/ canker sores for the majority of my life that got worse about 6-7 years ago (age 26-27). I would get up to 10 at a time and could only ride out the pain until they healed. Nothing would give me any relief. Right now, I can't remember the last time that I had one. I don't know what causes them, but whatever it was is not afflicting me anymore. Hopefully, you will experience the same.

Reconnection
by sweetface2233 ini rarely visit or post on this site anymore, but i had an experience today that made me decide to pop back in.
i've been an xjw long enough that the only time i think about my jw past is when one of my xjw friends (from this board or those i've met elsewhere) and i joke about shasta and fruit bags.. i've been playing on facebook and found some people who i used to know from the circuit assemblies and district conventions.
i would only contact them if i knew that they were xjws; either df'd before i left or were never "strong".

Mr. Majestic,
I don't think you understand. The nail file being baked into the cake would be to help me file through the prison bars and plan an escape. However, a girl does need her bare necessities and well manicured hands and feet are among them. :-)
See ya in a few weeks!
