Bought some canned food and some beans and rice... just in case. Srsly... might be good to avoid the public for a while in a couple weeks.
One of the things with these pandemic type flus is the deaths tend to be with the relatively young and healthy. They think it's because of something called a Cytokine storm, basically the immune system goes into overdrive and causes all kinds of inflammation and fluid build up.

Well let's see... 1000+ people infected in Mexico City, a whole school in NYC infected, about 2 dozen in New Zealand infected after a trip to Mexico. The lethality is much lower than H5N1 bird flu, but it's already infected more people in the space of a couple weeks than bird flu. This virus is also an H1N1, the same type that caused the 1918 Spanish Influenza pandemic.
