The mongols would keep meat under their saddle. Although I am not a Mongol nor have I made jerky in that way.
It may be worth a try though! -

Vacuum Leaks: A Deadly Environmental Threat
by Bendrr inthere are approximately 251 million vehicles on the roads in the united states and approximately 600 million worldwide.
roughly 30% have engine vacuum leaks, some very minor (less than -0.5psi or pounds per square inch) but the average is -1.5psi.. that means that every day the amount of vacuum leaks amount to over -112,950,000psi of vacuum released into the atmosphere in just the united states alone.
and -270,000,000psi released worldwide.

I shall buy several cans of compressed air, and release them into the atmosphere to be vacuum neutral.

Poor Georgia, we filled their heads with visions of sugar plums and NATO membership, and all they got was a face full of bear claw.

Biblical scholars have it all wrong. YHWH is just shorthand for the greeting "Yo Homie, What's Happening?" the ancient Israelis said to one another.
I always thought the Y to J thing had something to do with the translation from Hebrew to Latin.

All Americans are going to be fat in 40 years!
by digderidoo inupdated 3:34 p.m. et aug. 6, 2008new york - if the trends of the past three decades continue, itas possible that every american adult could be overweight 40 years from now, a government-funded study projects.
the figure might sound alarming, or impossible, but researchers say that even if the actual rate never reaches the 100-percent mark, any upward movement is worrying; two-thirds of the population is already overweight.
agenetically and physiologically, it should be impossiblea for all u.s. adults to become overweight, said dr. lan liang of the federal governmentas agency for healthcare research and quality, one of the researchers on the study.

I wasn't trying to judge, I was just pointing out that the weight problem may not be quite as bad as the article points out if BMI alone was used to calculate the statistics. I agree that there is a large (ha!) problem here in the states with obesity, and that the poor are affected more (hurray for HFCS!), but I don't think the sky is falling just yet.

At 6'3" and 200 lbs your BMI would be 25.0. You'd still be considered slightly overweight by the US government.

Not saying you are but that's how it's determined, and probably how they came up with the figures in the article. -

Nothing a bit of inflation, and a depression won’t fix. Producers are already cutting back on the amount ice cream, and the amount of cereal in their standard containers. We'll be literally and figuratively tightening our belts before long.
SL with a BMI of 25.1 :( -

That blue book was once my favorite. Now I think that the theory of evolution explains how all these different lifeforms got here.
