That is a great tattoo! I'm glad you have found one that means so much to you and id say you will never regret it.
Tattoos are addictive, i remember when i got my first one done the tattoist said you will never be able to just have one! I laughed and said yeah just one will do me but 5 years later ive had a few more done and wanting more.

i was talking to my trying-to-exit-the-cult fraternal twin brother yesterday about life, the jehovah's witness cult, and our jw parents.. he repeated, calmly and succintly, that he hates our parents.
i could not argue with him.
i used to, being a parent myself.

as a jw, success meant pioneering, commenting at the hall and book study, and going up the jw ladder.. how about now, how do you mesure success and happiness?.
As you get older you tend to measure success in different ways in my teens i was just happy to be able to go out with friends and live life
In my 20's i wanted a good job and good company
Now starting in my 30's i measure my success to the fact that i have little to no regrets, a roof over my head, food on the table, happy healthy children and have little concern how others may think about me.
What i want in the future will just happen.
What happened in the past oh well can't change that now, just learn from it all.

and i say thank god that this abhorrent practice is not legal any longer.. i don't feel rowe vs. wade (the right of a women to an abortion) should be banned, but definitely partial birth abortions should be.. am i for willy nilly abortion?
but if there were ever a situation say a woman's health was in jeapordy i feel she should have the right to a legal ending of her pregnancy.. for those that choose abortion as a means of birth control or some other lame reason, i believe that is wrong.. how do you feel?.

Abortions is a personal thing and each woman to their own.
For me this is an absolute NO! I couldn't go through with it even if i know it will have severe abnormalites.
I went to a clinic with an ex friend years ago i was just mortified of the young girls that were in there getting done i swear they were no more than 20! I was so upest by the experience i just couldn't stay friends with this person even though she never went through with it for whatever reason ( the reason she told me was that it was too early).
I do take acception with partially delivering a living baby and then poking something up in it's skull to suck out the brain. This is barbaric. What? They don't want to look the tiny baby in the eye while they suck its brain out?
Who would do a thing like this, this is so barbaric for this centry.
If this is the case why not adopt the child out than do this.

hey there, im kinda looking for some guidance here, i had a very close friend, she was actually one of my bridesmaids at my wedding, she's a little messed up but never the less we had a good friendship until i told her i was pregnant....!
it was no secret i was trying we had told everyone that we wanted to start trying after our wedding, but anyway when i told her her response was " oh, ok congratulations" and that was it, for the 9 months i was pregnant i reckon she asked me twice if i was ok and how it was going, all her text msg were about her and what was happening in her life.
she has come no where near us since i have had kaia, she hasnt seen her once and kaia is coming up to 6 months old.

It sounds like you would be a great friend.
I wouldn't really worry about how she has acted towards you and your family some people just get a little strange when you have something that they want. But it was a bit rude of her sending a pressy via mail when she said she was coming over. Who knows she may just not have been able come over (maybe jelous but that shouldn't get in the way of friendship)
You could confront her and ask why and how come you are no longer in the wedding party. If not just go for her day and enjoy it.
It would all depend how much you value your friendship with this person.
But it can only be you that can decide.

i'm not very far removed, any longer from how i presented myself as a witness, and how i do today.
i'm usually polite, cordial, respectful of others, even those who i may have very little regard for or those who on a regular basis, piss me off.
i work very hard not to use foul language.
I have been out for many years but i still have some of the values that i had learnt while still in.
I don't see the need to get dressed perfectly everytime i step out the front door but as long as it is neat and tidy.
The hardest thing over the many years and still to this day i cannot say happy birthday, merry christmas, bless you and happy easter.
I still can't go to carols by candlelight and sing the carols even though i do know them, i can't sing the national anthem even i know that too.
Even i cant say these to my own children!
my wife left me 5 years ago when i left the jehovah's witnesses.
she got remarried saturday to one of "our" old jehovah's witness friends jay .
jay's wife, judy died 6 months ago of cancer.
New boy i can sympathise with you.
what the JWs do to families are wrong.
I will be going through the same thing next weekend but it will be I that will be shunned.
It was a good stand by you daughter.
