I discovered that people are generally good, regardless of whether or not they belong to the cult I was a part of before.
Great point.
The annihilation of “those people” at Armageddon never stuck with me. I am really glad you mention this—a simple thought but gently subversive.
You certainly cut free! Thanks for your story.

Glad to read your story, Paul.
I can identify with your revulsion at seeing the Corporation’s “love” take over when the elders deal with a publisher in troubles. If there was anything that initially attracted me it was their emphasis on the “identifying mark” : ..by this all will know you are my disciples, by the love you have among one another.
It ain’t over til it’s over...l hope you outlast your losses and out-love the hate.

This is transparency. What a great service to post the policy documents from the WTCorp that trickle down to screw with the r&f.
I love how he felt the outrage when he learned of the Elders Manual . He knows why you get that WTFfeeling when your elders are dealing with you: they are remotely controlled by a legalistic Corporation and not motivated by love and mercy from within themselves.
I love this guy. Great interview.

Interview with Dagney
by Dagney intell us a little about yourself and your family.. i was born and raised in southern california, with a brief stint with parents as need-greaters in central america.
my parents accepted a study in the d2d work, i believe my father was interested in the revolutionary aspect of the religion, and my mom said she wanted to learn the bible.
they were baptized in 1937 i think, and attended the one and only los angeles kh at the time.

interview with an apostate- morpheus
by _Morpheus inwhen i saw simons thread and the "interview" series of threads that came from it i really enjoyed reading the life stories of those that shared.
a bump for newer people seems like a good idea and i figured i would add mine as well.
again, thanks to simon for the concept of a guided interview thread and the template.. tell us a little about yourself and your family.. hmmm... easy question, hard answer.
