Luke 9:49, 50:
And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.
Jesus states that being a direct follower of him is not necessary for salvation.

Will I go to hell?
by Anony-Mouse ina freind of mine (over the internet) has been debating with me about whether or not i will go to hell.
being the great freind he is, he says i am absolutely bound for hell, simply because i don't believe in god anymore.
john 3:16,17 says something or other about only people believing will be saved or somesuch.

1.What color is four?
While not convinced of the color of four, I can concretely state that it is not the same color as three
2. Can you be ENraged and OUTraged at the same time?
I find this outragous question enraging.
3. Is life being "broadcast" by the universe and we are merely "tuned" to our own particular channel?
Can you be part of a broadcast while being a passive subject? If we part of the Universe and the universe is broadcasting then that means that we are part of the broadcast process. If we are part of the broadcast process then we are unable to be tuned into the broadcast due to the creation of a paradox.
4. What is the dividing line between SUBjective and OBjective?
Each person has their own dividing line. This is usually based off of their own education, experience and beliefs. -

In my 20's I boarded with an older JW couple that had been witnesses forever. I was helping them clear some clutter in the basement and saw a calender. This had a picture of Jesus sitting with children teaching them.
Except Jesus didn't have a beard, and was Blond. It was from the 1920's or 30's so I was curious to see what religion they had been before converting to JW's.
I snuck aside to peek at the print and discovered "Watchtower and Bible Tract Society".
Bit of an eye opening experience. -

Next New Light??? Heaven's Doors Closed in 1935
by Elsewhere inthe persistent passage of time has forced the borg to literally redefine the word "generation" to suit their needs (it now means any group of people within a span of time that can go on indefinitely).
i'm starting to get the impression that they are going to have to do something with the 8000 or so people who insist on partaking of the emblems every year, thereby identifying themselves as "anointed" and heaven bound.
in recent years they have tried to discourage people from partaking by emphasizing that they could be crazy or diluted or puffed up with pride if they partook (don't ya just love my jw speak!?!?

Why don't apologists talk to each other?
by Paralipomenon inin the time i've been reading these forums i've seen a few apologists posting on threads, but what i've never seen was them interacting with each other.
is it the same person with multiple logins, or is there some sort of code of honor that prevents them from agreeing with each other.
is it like seeing another witness in a porno store?

Is it like seeing another witness in a porno store? They realize they aren't supposed to be there, but just ignore each other and hope nobody calls them on it?

Doesn't interact infer a two way communication?
God must have the best PR team ever.
If something good happens, it's an answer to a prayer, if something bad happens, well it just wasn't right for God to change it at this time.
Seriously, good stuff happens to me all the time, I'd like to think it's because good things happen to everyone. I just don't need to attribute my positive experiences to someone else. -

I remember they used to do up "sweet plates" from donated baked goods. The challenge was to get a plate with 3 good things on it, but there was always a rock hard, dry oatmeal cookie on all of them.

144,000 Pebbles
by jgnat ini'm marking my jw hubby's study yet again, and i just have to vent.
144,000 white pebbles?
the wtbts again jams revelation 14:1, like a bad puzzle piece, in to every promise that came out of the mouth of god.
