do you realize that the organization keeps you captive through the manipulation of guilt?
they make you feel guilty because you didn't auxillary pioneer when you knew you could've.. they make you feel bad about yourself for masturbating although they know everyone does it.. they try to make you feel bad because you didn't contribute as much money as you could because you went on vacation....and so forth.. isn't it great to not feel guilt anymore over these things???
?.
I'll second that! There's no wonder there was so many people depressed in the cong. A lifetime of guilt is going to affect you in some negative way surely.

i'm canadian but i still just can't wrap my head around being 188 centimeters tall and 111 kilograms!.
sorry: i'm 6' tall and 245 pounds!.
I find the metric system easier and more logical to use. Its makes total sense:
10mm=1cm
100cm=1m
1000cm3 = 1L
1000L=1m3
1m3 of water = 1 metric tonne
1000m=1km
and so on.....
C'mon chums across then pond, get on board cos it makes sense dunnit!

for me it was the tuesday night book study.
i didn't like reading, opening/closing with prayers and the uncomfortable, close, claustrophobic setting it was in.
this meeting was the first one to be binned when i started to fade.

I think Roger Waters did some good stuff when he went solo aswell. His 'Radio Chaos' album and 'The ProsAnd Cons Of Hitch Hiking' album were both good.
I love Pink Floyd, I think that they're great to listen to, especially good when your passing the peace pipe around.

just thought of this.....and was curious.
do they give part of their income to the wts?.
Do they give part of their income to the WTS?
Yes, you are expected to contribute in accordance with your own means, but not necessarily expected to tithe.
i spoke with a born again today.
i am wondering if this person represents how they all think or just some.
i'll assume just some.
That bit about Hell was well funny.
it would be great wouldn't it?
if there was a room at the back of the hall that had a bar with a selection a fine handpulled ales & spirits.
the lights were lowered slightly, and some background tunes (not kingdom melodies) were playing, and there were some nice cosy chairs to lounge in.. after the meeting you could and have a few pints and have a laugh about how boring crap someones talk was.
Yeah, and when we run out of blunts, we can use pages of the NWT and WT as rolling papers.
Lol, yes that's all them pages are good for.
