Saw there, for U.S. in July (big convention month) baptisms were 4,705. Seems low. Last year, 2012, total (U.S.) baptized 32,039. Will be interesting to see total for 2013. I suspect not much more than last year.

Announcement: Schools for Couples and Single Brothers replaced by School for 'everyone'
by dropoffyourkeylee ini know this was noted earlier:.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/beliefs/266186/3/the-big-announcement-this-week#.uoaoe_yo5dg.
but it was officially announced today that the school for couples and the school for single brothers were being combined with the new twist that single sisters would be allowed also.

I think many of these places "where the need is greater," in the U.S. anyway, are not very productive from JW standpoint. Harder to get Bible Studies in comparison to many 'city' areas, therefore, much less to ever get to baptism. Many idealistic JWs, to where the 'need is greater' eventually moved back to original location with much disappointments.

But single sisters (over 25 yrs old) outnumber, single brothers. what? 8 to 1, I would guess?

Jan 2014 KM (for U.S.) reports, in July 2013 baptisms 4,705. Doesn't seem like alot for that big district convention month. For 'total' last year, 2012, for U.S. the report was 32,039. Will be interesting to see how it compares to their 'total' for 2013.

Why get 'conditional' friends? Why have friends you can't be 'honest' with? They will only be 'bus-stop' conversations. Why?

Can't get enough of young people either, thus age increase requirement. Finding even enough of those will be hard as they must have their own independent funds and health care money. And they have created their own shortage to fit their requirements.

well. of course the 'sisters' had to be finally accepted as they are the ones that do most of the 'grunt' work/time. But they accept the 'parade' and come last.

JW religion = progressive apostacy
by AlphaMan inthe jw religion is so against any members who they think are apostate against their beliefs.
if any member even questioned current beliefs or speculated that scriptures could mean something else, then they would de df'd as an apostate.. the governing body makes changes in jw doctrinal beliefs all the time.
why are they not df'd for apostacy?.

Basically, it's "The JW Governing Body" religion.
