This is going to hurt you for a long while. Good luck to you & take care of yourself.
Take time to look over www.jwchildcustody.com. Hopefully you can try to at least get joint custody so you can protect your kids from the cult.

Did You Know or Know Of "Gay" or Bisexual JWs???
by minimus inrecently, a former witness expressed his opinion to me that he knew more than a few witnesses that were gay.personally, i know of a bisexual ex-elder who was unhappily married for a few years.
now he's "out", pardon the pun, of the organization.
i know of a newly appointed ms who is married to a sister but most people suspect he is gay.

I remember a young couple that got married at the KH many years ago. She was a beautiful girl and he was a handsome manly man.
It didn't last long. They divorced when he realized he was gay and chose to pursue that direction. -

Has money taken over...
by emptywords ini have found that at every assembly being circuit, district or one day, they are always, always in deficit, why is this, at the last circuit assembly they said that it cost 6,000 for electicity for two days, and that to me was just embarrassing, i asked the sister next to me if what i heard was correct, and yes she said in debt for the weekend because of electricity.. another thing is the soliciting of property from older ones, i know that they do this with anyone that has property (especially older ones that have no heirs).
to leave their assets to the wts, because the governments will take it if you die.
but also what they can leave to the wts would be appreciated if they have family heirs left, i have seen this soliciting in the wt mags on occastions.. what is you're experience if any on this.. cheers.

Yes, it’s all about the Money!
Many years ago my father’s siblings had signed over all their inheritance to one unmarried brother that lived at the family home his entire life. He managed the estate, grew and sold off timber, leased the land out for farming, purchased more property, etc. In his later years when he had been hospitalized with Alzheimer’s, the Elders (one was his cousin) from the local KH visited him in the hospital with a completed Will leaving everything to the WTBTS and had him sign it.
When he died there were 4 of the 10 siblings still living. All were very old and not competent to handle such decisions. Three of them decided for the whole family that the Will should be honored and everything given to the WTBTS. One sibling had been ill for the last few years and on medications. He was seeing hullicinations. The last time I saw him he had regressed many years and thought I was my mother. His family was having very bad financial problems.
His sister and 2 brothers agreed to give him a few thousand of his share of inheritance which I understand didn’t even pay off his medical bills. My father explained to me his brother didn’t deserve his share because he had never been financially responsible and the family had helped him out over the years.
Their youngest brother’s wife (she was not even a descendent – the daughter of this deceased youngest brother was the heir) was given the task of taking the invalid/mentally incompetent brother to the attorney’s office to sign away his inheritance. She was also paid out of the estate the same amount as this brother. She had always been taken care of by the family since her husband died young and left her with a daughter.
Apparently the attorney realized there were issues and did send out letters to all the heirs of the deceased siblings. They were given the opportunity to dispute the Will and stop the funds from going to the WTBTS. My cousins were each waiting for the other one to step forward and dispute it. Each one was either a JW in agreement or too afraid of the family & WTBTS to say anything. The time frame they were given expired and the WTBTS got the money. ($600,000 minus $$ given to the brother and sister-in-law and fees to the attorney.)
I am still very angry with my father for his part in cheating his brother out of his full inheritance. I am angry with my father that he didn’t see the need to help his own children if he didn’t need the money himself. As always the WTBTS came before his own children. I have a brother and sister that are still slaving away for the Governing Body. Even if he did not see fit to give it to his three unbelieving children, I would rather it go to my brainwashed brother and sister that do need it badly.
I am angry that none of my cousins had the guts to stop it and I know many of them really needed the money.
Lately the elders have visited my parents. My father is nearly 93 and drives himself to the meetings. It is rare that he misses one. He has a magazine delivery route that he still drives since they stopped the subscriptions. He also has a study with an elderly invalid man that is house bound and will never be a JW but dad can count a study anyway. He was reader at the book study until just recently.
So, I know they are not visiting because he is missing meetings or spiritually weak. My mother does not go as much because of health issues but takes every opportunity to preach at people that visit.
They are sitting on some valuable property. I am very concerned the elders will be putting more and more pressure on them to sign it over to the WTBTS. My father is gullible enough to do it.
Sorry, that was my rant for the day. -

Thoughts while mowing the yard
by Undecided ini was mowing the yard this morning and as usual i was thinking about life and such.
there were weeds with pretty little flowers and some cherry trees trying to grow.
i just mowed them down because i like the way grass looks better.

Mowing the grass is such good therapy. I could solve the world's problems while cutting the grass. Out here in the desert we don't have grass - just rocks covering the yards. I think I miss my therapy sessions cutting grass.

JW's compared to other religions
by concerned x ina conversation with a po this week led to a request from him to make a comparison of of jw's to other religions.
for ex: their preaching work, their growth, their brotherhood, their building projects, their assistance in times of natural disasters, etc.
the search engine in jwd is not working and i would appreciate any information written about this subject in the past..

Make sure you request that he provide you with a complete current financial report on the Organization. The one sentence at the end of the publisher report in the Feb 1 Watchtower is not a financial report.

MadTiger said in his thread on brainwashing that he had emailed his friend the case numbers of the settled cases. I sent him a PM asking him to send me the list also but he has not read it yet. If I get the list I will pass it along.

I agree with what logic said. I think it's a hormonal thing. When she hit 13 all of a sudden she turned into the biggest slob I have ever seen.
We started a new arrangement. Everyone was responsible for their own clothes. My son washed his, my daughter washed hers and I did my own. We had a community bin for towels and used them 2 or 3 times between washings.
If she did not wash and put away her own clothes, she had nothing to wear. When her cat threw up on her bed it did not bother her in the least. I fussed for a few days and it did no good. I learned to just close her door. If that was the way she wanted to live I allowed her to.
I did not learn until she was much older that teenagers need a lot more sleep. It's not just being lazy. There is a biological reason for SOME of their actions. But you also need to be aware of other issues such as alcohol and drugs/METH (see the thread on METH someone started a day or two ago.) My daughter was sneaking around drinking with her best friend.
The silver lining is she is 34 and turned out like logic's daughter. She is almost obsessively clean. It was funny when I was living out of town and I would visit her - if I left any of my "stuff" on the bathroom counter I would come back to find it gone!! After searching I would find it put out of sight in the cabinet or drawer. (I sooo enjoyed leaving a few little things out just to watch her reactions. Payback can be such fun.) -

Non organised ex JWs, why?
by greendawn infrom time to time we hear that the ex jws should have organised themselves to a high level and that doesn't necessarily mean setting up another religion in opposition to the wts but some sort of rather secular organisation to carry out that task.
no doubt this lack of organisation plays in the hands of the wts who escape the nightmare of a highly organised efficient opposition.
the rough treatment of ex members in my opinion is intentional and aims at emotionally stunning them to pre empt the possibility of them having a clear mind with which to fight their fraudulent, cultic objectives.

Hopefully Kimberlee Norris, et al, will continue their work.
They can get the attention of the press through lawsuits (settled or won) and the WTBTS pays the tab!
