  los angeles (reuters) - the 94-year-old stepmother of liza minnelli has sued the entertainer for elder abuse and breach of contract for trying to evict her from a beverly hills residence by cutting off the electricity and dismissing the gardener and pool man.

  Geez, I'm just appalled that Liza could be so selfish. After all, the woman can't live for too many years longer and it would be a kind gesture on Liza's part to just leave her where she is, especially since she is so vehemently opposed to staying. If that's how rich people act, then I'm glad I have no money!

  The most strangest sounds I ever heard ........

  i had an experience last night which was the strangest thing i have heard / felt for years ............. i had shared a bottle of white wine with my wife (i know that "tunes down" the whole thing, but man!

  half a bottle of wine produces nothing like that ....), she went upstairs to go to bed, it was 10:45 at night, and i let the dog out in the garden for her usual you-know-what.

  25 metres away is a small road, there are houses around, and 50 metres down to my left another small road departs.. i had been out 10 seconds, when suddenly very loud noices were all around, like - please don't laugh - santa claus with his sleigh came down the road, like sleigh bells sort of, but much louder and more distinct.

  There was an article in the papers years ago about an African tribe that was feuding with another tribe and being unable to settle their differences, they wrote to Prince Phillip of England to intervene on their behalf. Well, Prince Phillip did as they asked and the dispute was settled. The African tribe then asked Prince Phillip to send them an autographed picture as a keepsake and he complied. The tribe then posted the picture up of Prince Phillip and he became their God. They prayed to him every day. I'm not kidding. This is a true story! Just goes to show you, people will pray to almost anything.
