California, I was absolutely moved by your story. Siblings are a treasure to hold onto. They are people that we grew up with and with whom we share history with. I pray that you and your siblings are united and that you can finally find peace.

Joe, I've heard stories of drug addicts, prostitutes, criminals and other socially impaired people who after finding religion, any religion, have changed their ways for the good. It does not just happen to persons who become JWs. I am sure no one doubts your story of JW's turning your life around. If that is what it took to make you happy and content, then I am glad for you.

However, you should not let that cloud the issue of their constant claims that they are the only true religion, that everyone who is not a JW will die at Armegeddon, that your loved ones may have to die because of not taking blood transfusions, etc.

Truly look into the religion you are practicing, its origin, its purposes because you owe that to yourself and to your family. I know that JW's claim to use the bible in all matters, but they only use to support their teachings and as we all know, the bible can be twisted to prove anything.

in another thread, entitled the ransom paid, its author raised a most important question -- a question that surely every person ought to be determined to know the answer to.

im posting this also as a reply in that thread, but i feel that its such an important issue that the answer (as i see it) be given the widest publicity possible here on this forum.

Yardif, I think you are to be commended. You have shown that you have completely absorbed all WT theology and are able to make seemingly credible arguments out of what are simply the fantastic, ever changing, teachings of a cult. You have taken WT fairy tales and spun them to new lengths. Judge Rutherford would have been so proud of you.

i am watching what i think is the dumbest movie ever put on film,the quick and the dead.

sharon stone (who i think looks great with no panties) absolutely sucked in this stupid movie.

whats with the plot of this yawner,its been done a bit too much.she was terrible and gene hackman must have needed the money when he signed on to do this groaner..just my opinion and we all know what they about opinions...they are just like assholes, we all have them and they all stink...
