Resurrection - cell phone edition

i have an oldish phone - a samsung galaxy s3.

i don't feel the need for anything faster or better because i don't use it a ton.

i hardly ever call anyone or have anyone call me and it's mostly used for emergency remote access to the forum, to play the odd game and to text the kids to let them know i'm picking them up or they want to be picked up from somewhere (maybe i should sign up as an uber driver?

A long time ago, I learned that people only use 20% or fewer functions of any system.

80% are bells and whistles that a) aren't necessary and b) you don't use and wouldn't use anyway.

I worked in IT all of my life. Systems don't run any faster because all we do is add more functionality which isn't required in most cases.

I ain't spendin' a penny buying something that a) I don't need and b) I wouldn't use even if I had it.

it is time for christians to accept evolution, in my opinion.. there are many reasons why i think it is long overdue for all christians to finally accept what science says about evolution.

below i will show these reasons.. .

the bible tells people to pay attention to nature to see the glory of god (psalm 19; romans 1:19-20).

Ever wondered why a lot of the things that happened to jesus also happened to some of the gods before him such as being born of a virgin and rising from the dead and having 12 disciples? i foolishly downloaded an innocent looking pool game, and now i'm pretty certain this is how my p.c.

has been infected by a malware program called pixel.mathtag - i won't complete the full web address, just in case!.

my internet banking account was deleted, (i assume it was the malware's doing!

Those who were converts from another faith. When did you realize that you were being lied to?

my experiences have included being lied to about what the bible says.

mind you , i am not referring to scripture twisting, i mean out right lying about what is written.. obviously at least some here didn't realize until it was later.. just wondering what others experienced.. thanks.

The interaction that I've had with jovie world has led me to believe that it isn't so much lying that's at issue, it's more a case of :

what they don't say
what they 'help' you to assume
what they quote out of context
what they assume/hope that you don't know

It's not just the above that's at issue though. It's far more clever than that. What jovie world does is to slowly but deliberately build misconception upon misconception and, pretty soon, one has a totally skewed view of the world that bears no relation whatsoever to reality.

Based upon this approach, the only logical conclusion that one can draw is that the jovie way is the truth and that god exists and is as jovie world portrays him to be.

I've read a lot of jovie literature and it's quite clever too. What it does is to ask questions of the reader in such a manner that there is only one answer which appears to be logical. There is nothing wrong with the answer, given the way that the question is framed. However, there is everything wrong with the question because the framing is invalid and set in such a way that what appears to be the logical answer is, in fact, incorrect. Again, jovie literature builds incorrect answer on incorrect answer until, pretty soon, the only logical conclusion that one can draw is that the jovie way is the truth and that god exists and is as jovie world portrays him to be.

May no mistake, someone in jovie world has thought it through.

Yup. They couldn't answer you so they relied on the WBT$ propaganda. It is hell being in a cult!

I think what annoyed me most was the insult. To think that someone would believe the BS in their two documents isn't treating the reader with respect. It assumes that the reader lacks knowledge and is gullible.
