  Prison Bars around the Mind!

  i found the story of the abducted young boys very moving this weekend.

  it must have been an absolute miracle for shawn hornbeck's parents to find him again.. i understand that young shawn had relative 'freedom' at times when his captor was at work.

  i understand that many people will not understand why shawn did not run away at those times.

  Did you enjoy personal study?

  let me preface this by saying how much i enjoy learning.

  i read constantly.

  but as for "personal study", i did my best... i forced myself, but could never get into it.

  I never enjoyed studying the JW material...I always felt stupid because I didn't understand what they were talking about....but I was always able to answer the questions right...Hmmmmmmm?? I now REALLY enjoy researching things till I understand.

  Please say hello to my wife.

  i've been posting here for quite a long time, so long in fact that it just doesn't feel right that my wife isn't a part of it.

  earlier today i created an account for her with the username heron, she'll know why.

  i'm not sure if my wife will ever post here but i would feel much more comfortable knowing she is aware that i do.. this is the one post i am going to ask her to read.. so, i'd really appreciate it if you could say hello to my lovely wife.

  Do You Get Any Pleasure Out of the Holidays Since Leaving the Watchtower?

  yesterday was my crappy birthday, http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/20/127389/1.ashx and while the evening went along, i realized something.

  i've been out of the watchtower for about 6 years now and i still don't enjoy the holidays or my birthday.

  i can't recall one time saying to myself, "wow, that was so much fun.

  You know how vacations go....they are really fun to anticipate...then you are there and it is not all that you dreamed, then you come home and it's over? That is how holidays are. Don't put too much emphasis on them. They aren't there to make or break your life....they are just days that have potential for special memories.

  tattoo designs

  i would really like to get a tattoo on my wrist.

  i was thinking along the lines of an orobous (snake biting/swallowing its own tail) that goes around the wrist.

  my question is this: i don't have a picture of what i want exactly.

  I think if you go to a good reputable artist and describe what you want...they are able to draw things up. Most tattoo artists are very talented!

  i went to the meeting yesterday (first time in a month due to a new baby then the other kids getting sick) and the wt study was about showing love for neighbor.

  now my main issue with the org is the complete and utter lack of love i have been shown for pretty much my whole life and since that is what jesus said would define his people it's a sticking point with me.

  so, while i sat there hearing this i was getting more and more ticked off.

  Oopsy-Daisy.....Well.....I can see how that could happen. If you become free from the brain-washing, and think for yourself, It would be impossible to even pretend to swallow their crap.

  I know your goals are to get in to fade....but, it seems that this will be harder than you ever thought, huh? I wish you the best though!

  she's a woman of particular faith; and it's too late for a conversion, and she gets a ticket to the new system anyway, so what a convenient excuse to do nothing.

  Those are truely awsome photo's. You did a great job catching the sparkles in their eyes! (too bad the kisses on your head didn't stand out too...It was sweet!)

  I agree with you...whatever she gets comfort from at this time....that is the least of what people deserve in this world. So sad.

  this is a nice big open board, thought i'd throw myself out there.. recently i had been a part of the "e-jehovah's witness" board.

  especially as i don't think i even care that much anymore.

  well, 3 weeks after that she cheated again, with a different guy.

  Wow....you have certainly been through some really hard times. I think many of us here can relate to quite a few parts of what you have been through, and for the things we have not suffered....there is compassion for those that have.

  I am glad you have joined...and things will get better. Hang in there!

  They take on the attributes of their God.......Oh so loving and caring untill you do one little thing...then its all fire and brimstone on your a$$!! If our families are the same, then I bet they are all relishing the thought of us "wicked ones" being "faint out of fear" and then BAM....dead.
