A coup against the Watchtower?
by Dead Man Joaquin ini believe that if enough "anointed" get fed up with the hypocrisy of the leadership, a coup may be likely if not inevitable.. .
what i've been wondering is: how would such a scenario play out in real life?
i'm sure we can agree that all the organizational power ultimately rests in the hands of the eleven little men in brooklyn known collectively as the governing body.

A couple of annointed ones in our area have pointedly questioned the trumpet blast crap in the Revelation Book and have been ignored. As another poster notes, the annointed who are not part of the inner circle have no voice

Any coup against the Watchtower will come from financial pressure such as from lawsuits or a continued downturn in contributions. JW vote with their wallets. It is the only voice they have.

are they expecting wonderful revelations.

In our circle of JWs, most feel this is a time of testing and that "mother" may be apostate and that Jehovah is going to make matters right in his own time. I think this is a transitional thought for now. It is just a matter of time before most, at least those in the modern world, will realize it was never the "truth" from the beginning so it couldn't be apostate.
It is really surprising to me how many in high positions doubt the "truth". Of course these only do so in safe circumstances. I think we are going to see a lot more MTS trained COs who are too young and too enamored with the authority of being a CO that will force feed what the service department wants. These guys may eventually find out they were misleading many, but probably years down the road.

A former assembly Hall overseer
by parlay inhad the nerve to counsel teddy j of the gb about the unkind way things were communicated.
to the assembly hall staff, citing the counsel the service department wasn't following it's own advice .
they give to elders about treating the friends with kindness and respect.

The Service Department is very vindictive. Very forgiving to themselves and their mistakes, very harsh on others. Many Brothers get "blacklisted" from convention parts, appointments and other "privileges". I have no doubt that Ted is behind the removal as an Assembly Hall Overseer, but I really doubt that he has anything to do with the disfellowshipping or length of time for reinstatement. Those two matters are typically handled localy...... but you never know

Indeed - how can I forget the Legal Department. They had the power to make the blood issue go away - you can have pizza by the slice just not the whole pizza at once......

Regarding the pedophile issue, if the person has been convicted he or she will be the Registered Offenders List. If the person is on the list your friend might want to accidentally leave a print out in a place were it can be found. Additionally, she could send a copy by registered mail to the WTBTS and the CO. That might get things moving. If she is afraid to do so maybe you could do that for her. Innocents must be protected.
