It doesn't work that way. You can see them, because they're on your harddrive. For everyone else to see them, you have to upload them to something like Photobucket. From there, you can copy the URL for your posts.

Well, I'va made it through Friday.....
by still_in74 inso i have the friday of the district assembly behind me.
i have learned;.
i need to cancel my cable so i can study more and read the bible more and have less temptation to buy "new toys"i need to sell my house and buy an ol' fixer upper so my wife can stop working and pioneeri need to sell all my "toys" and my cari need to trust the fds implicitly because jehovah does.i need to pray more, study more, preach more, go to more meetings, etc.

Gee, that does sound vaguely familiar. Like, I don't know, maybe EVERY STINKING CONVENTION FOR THE LAST 30 YEARS!!!! And don't you hate how they ask the rhetorical questions like, "Isn't it refreshing to come together to learn about our Creator, Jehovah?" , and then everyone claps in agreement while thinking "I wish to hell this was over." I'm surprized they don't have brothers walking around with "CLAP" signs, to go with their "KEEP MOVING" signs they like to parade around.

Has your brain been re-wired with the "F" word?
by Gregor ini learned an interesting fact from my father's doctor when he was being treated for a stroke.
mom had mentioned that even though dad couldn't speak well enough to ask for a glass of water he could clearly say, "goddammit".
the dr. explained that epithets are from a different part of the brain and this area had not been affected by the stroke.. i found this very interesting.

No. I'm not a cusser. On rare occasion, and only in the presence of a select few, I have said s**t. Even more rarely, I have quoted someone saying the "F word". Like Mulan said, it just doesn't sound right coming out of me. It makes me feel like a low-class person to cuss. I'm not saying that all who use cuss words are low class. It just makes me feel that way about myself. However, there are some people who can't complete even one sentence with out throwing in the F word 2, 3, 4 times, without even meaning to add a sense of being upset about anything. Example: "Yeah, dude, I f-ing saw this f-ing cute kitten on the road, and I f-ing pulled over the car and picked it up. F**k, that kitty was so f-ing cute." (I'm hardly exaggerating). That's the kind of sentence 'enhancing' that I can't stand to listen to.

exwitless, if you read my above post, you will see i tried to make peace. i don't like drama on here. i felt like him and john were jumping my ass and i was defending myself. they misunderstood my point, blew it out of proportion, and went on the offensive. can we just drop it and be friends?
Of course, and I never intended to antagonize you or dramatize matters. Guess I shouldn't have entered in the midst of a "colorful debate" like I did. Sorry to cause ill feelings.

When you were a dub, did you shun DF/DA'd people?

who got pregnant out of wedlock (and used drugs during pregnancy).
she was df'd but still came to most meetings.

Of course, we all did the 'avert your eyes when she walks by' thing. But other than her, I never actually had to shun someone publicly.
My supervisor at work has been witness to my being shunned, since I DA'd. She has asked me a couple of times if I ever had to do that when I was an active JW. Then she asked if Iwould have done that if I was in that position. I'm embarrassed to say, yeah, probably being a good JW, I would've. But I would've first tried to avoid having that person see me at all so I didn't get put in that situation.

I know you didn't, but since you included him among the type who "are usually the ones guilty of spouse beating", I just thought I'd jump in to clarify, so that no one might get the wrong picture in his/her mind about LDB. He's a good guy, really. And I'm not just saying that 'cause I'm his wife. Well, OK, maybe I am, but he's still a good guy.
