"New Light" on "New Light" creates a dilemma (July 15, 2010 WT)
by pirata infor the majority of my years in the truth, the "new light" did not bother me at all.. i reasoned this way: "the faithful slave is imperfect, right?
logically they're going to make mistakes.
the main thing is that they're trying to do god's will they best they can and stick as close to the bible as they understand it.

CALL TO ACTION: Write the United Nations!
by seattleniceguy inmost of us are familiar with the watchtower bible and tract society's association with the un as an ngo.
this fact has been confirmed via correspondence with the un numerous times, notably in a letter received recently by one of our own members.
for details and photocopies, see here:.

It was absolutely HUGE to ME when I found out about it... and I had been "out" of the organization for nearly twenty years! Yes, this is still huge to the "old timers"... those of us who grew up with illustrations of Babylon the Great riding the "wild beast".
Thank you for updating the link, Seattle Nice Guy.

by minimus inwitnesses are supposed to be "exemplary" and not like the "world".

Awww....animals raising babies of another species...everlasting thread!
by rebel8 inever since i saw a video of a crow feeding and nurturing a feral kitten, i've been fascinated by stories of animals who raise babies of another type of animal.
so here begins my official repository of these stories!
feel free to add any others you know of--humans raising house pets doesn't count!.

My kitty is having kittens soon and Im stressing about it. Advice?
by WuzLovesDubs inlike i dont have enough going on right now...my kitty is expecting and im not sure when she actually got pregnant but im thinking her due date might be around 5/10.
i have read online a bit about the process and i hope she can handle this.
i made a secure and private kittening box for her and she seems to like it in there with ripped up rags she can pile up into a nest.

Fred Phelps' estranged son speaks
by MsDucky inwhat does this remind you of?.
topeka the estranged son of a controversial kansas pastor encouraged people to feel sympathy for members of his father's church, "at least for the young children stuck in that situation.".
nate phelps, 51, spoke in topeka on saturday, marking his first trip in 20 years to the city where his father, fred phelps, runs westboro baptist church.

"That forced me to think about whether I have an obligation to speak out," he said. "I have a unique voice and maybe some positive things could come out of that."
He also said he is writing a book and working with different organizations "for changes in laws to make it more difficult for people to abuse their children based on religion."Awesome. I have seen interviews with him before, he was horribly abused yet has a very healthy perspective... he shows much more concern and love than hatred. We could all take a lesson from that.

by awildflower in......for being so obedient and cooperative during our lives as jw's.
for getting ready for all of those meetings and doing their best to study before hand and comment.
