i work in an environment at work that is a mix of adult ranging in age from 18-50. there are 300 plus people in the building, and that means you get a lot of soap operas happening from people sleeping with other people's girlfriends, boyfriends and even people cheating on their spouses with people they work with.

among the bunch is a large group of people who spend a lot of time passing themselves around, and sampling many sexual partners.

of the people who i know, i have often found that many do not seem as happy as one might think.

When someone is depressed they need something to try to help them to feel happy again. Some seek this through drinking, sex, or drugs. Although all these do bring a momentary feel of happiness it actually only leads to deeper depression and guilt.

Dansk hit the nail on the head with his comments. Our western societies glorify this life style through advertising, TV, and movies. Never showing the after effects of a promiscuous life style only the temporary enjoyment that one gets from it.

On a personal note, after being divorced for a year and having my "fun" I can honestly tell you true happiness isn't found in a promiscuous life style. There is nothing more fullfilling then two people who are committed to love and respect each other. That truely brought me inner happiness.

My story, i'm 23 and [edited]

hey all, .

i was raised as a jw, did what my parents who have been in it since there teens.

got baptized at 15, pretty much my whole only child witness life was spent alone, i never had any close jw friends, because everyone in our congregation were so cliquey.anyways i stopped really attending meetings at age 19, when my best friend got df, i had already gotten privately reproved and i was upset and how they handled things with me, so i just told my mom i wasn't going to be a hyprocrit, and go to meetings and pretend to be happy, and agree with them... anyways long story short, i'm 23 now, and of course i got very depressed in 03, for about 6months, and just went through the mill, to be freaking around witnesses who i knew were fake drove me crazy, when u only ask how i am doing after not attending for months at a time, u are not my friend!.
