  Do you get joy out of doing your own yard work?

  the heat index here in orlando is currently 105 degrees, but being the bull dog type i am, insist on mowing in this heat.

  it will take me another 2 days to trim out, and get any stray stuff done like brown palm fronds etc.

  this is my 3rd break on the first day, my face is bright red and am sweating like someone in a gym.. i find great joy in a beautiful lawn, nicely trimmed out, beautiful trees and flowers etc.. on the other hand i am mowing in my light short cotton nightgown which looks like a pretty t-shirt but is lighter weight with a pair of jeans.....my husband is cracking up!

  We have 2 1/2 acres of nothing but work. No grass to cut. Tons of trees and little flower beds everywhere. It's hard work but I get a sense of accomplishment when it's done. The aching muscles are worth it.

  I like someone that will challenge me to do things I wouldn't normally do. Someone protective but not controlling.

  A big turn off is someone who thinks the world will end at any minor argument, let's face it, arguments will happen. Just cause I'm mad at you today b/c of something stupid, it doesn't mean i'll pack up and turn my back on all the good times. I like someone who knows what the real issues are and what the fake/stupid issues are.

  How many SCUBA divers on JWD?

  i have been diving for 23 years.

  i've dove in florida, the caribbean, the graat lakes, and a number of other puddles.. my last major trip was key west.

  any others out there in jwd land?

  See, now you've gone and done it. And I was actually thinking of telling my husband that I might consider going with him next time. Now...I'm not so sure.

  I made a pact when I started diving 23 years ago. I stopped eating shark in restaurants, if they would not eat me. It has worked out so far!

  Ha! LOL, I've never eaten shark. My husband continues to educate me on diving and one day maybe i'll get over this fear. I hear the only way to get over your fears is to face them, I guess I'll have to test that theory one day.

  No, i'm scared some weird fish or shark will get hungry and eat me. I'm scared i'll run out of air. scared i'll have a leg cramp and won't be able to get out of the water when i'm being chased by a scary fish. basically, i'm just scared of being in the water. i'll keep my feet on the ground.

  My poor husband is trying to get me to go with him, i just haven't accepted the fact that i won't get eaten by a fish. He's also trying to get me to jump out of an airplane. Can't wrap my mind around that either.

  It sounds like i'm a scaredy cat but i'll do most anything 'cept jump out of a plane and get in the ocean, river, pond, lake.

  i find out that the "sweetest" girl in the congregation is one of the biggest sluts in town!

  she was into me, and here i thought she was sincere in the truth and i never made a move, because i was honourable.. i was so lock, stock, and barrel in this cult, so sincere, it makes me sick.

  i didn't realise how two-faced and fake everyone in it was until i left and now all the people out are hanging out with the people in!.

  I feel your pain. I went through this phase also (i.e. feeling naive & gullible). After I was out, I learned so many things about everyone I thought I knew!

  Cat is in trouble- advice?

  my mom's cat got into some of her embroidery floss and swallowed it.. this was maybe three days ago.

  her vet won't see him, too busy.

  he's not eating much at all now, and i fear the worst.

  I KNOW!!! I thought about that two when that option came up. Poor kitty cat..........
