  i started this on another thread so a lot of it is in response to nathan's.. there is still free speech, even for christians.

  a lot of people would like to take free speech away from christians; that we keep our mouths shut.

  as americans, what do you think of the fairness doctrine that henry waxman wants to revive?

  no, this is not one of those threads where i pulled out some numbers out of the bible.

  however, there is a possible way for the world to end in or around 2012.. it does not involve god or the bible.

  instead, it involves the passage of codex alimentarius.

  according to my research you only have a 50% chance of dieing as 50% of all humans that have ever lived are alive now. Which means only 50% of us have died. So death has only an LD50. I hope you can follow my logic.

  i was talking with my dad the other week and i revealed my doubts (well, not doubts really, conviction) that noah's flood didn't cover the earth.

  he tried the usual, first he printed up all the stuff on the flood that he could find on the wt cd (even though i told him that i already read everything the society has ever written about the flood) and when that failed to convince me he brought out the ol' trust in jehovah(tm) line .

  plus, he said that since i was so enamored with science to disprove the flood i should consider how science doesn't have the same position on certain subjects compared to the past and that it's based on progressive understanding.

  You are correct there is peerm review. And old theorys are spoken as stepping stones. New work never reverts to disproven theory of the past as being law.

  i ask to where and she said to a jw convention.

  i told her that the jw s talked with me several years ago and told me christ came invisibly into power in 1914. itold her i did not believe this then but now i do!

  When I speek to an unaware jw ( one who knows not of my previous exposure to this cult) I try not to be confrontational and just bring up one item. I fear that blasting with both barrels only shuts them down to my thought path.

  One item is enough for them to consider.

  When I was a kid in fs the person who answered the door ask me the question; Do you read this stuff. I lied and answered; Yes. That gave me somthing to think about.

  jws came to my door last week, i was asleep and had a note on my door telling them not to awaken me (note just says don't knock on the door).

  new october "awake" magizine (left on the door) titled "keep your children safe" says nothing about taking molestation allegations to the civil authorities.

  will these dumb bastards ever learn?
