list all debt other than your home. then, if you are buying a home list that beside it. think about what it would take to make a real difference in your life. $1000 can make a big difference for some people. Others $10,000 would make the difference, and some $99,000 would really make little diference in their debt situation. If you feel the money may be available soon, state why it would make a difference....oompa.... this was prompted by a recent post of a single mom getting rid of her newer car for an older Saturn and have no debt with it.
