KM School for Elders Only in 2015 Service Year

just heard this at the meeting last night - km school for elders only to be held between november 11th and january 11th.

it will be one day (8 hours) and will likely be an update on the new org.

changes being fired out, likely judicial in nature also..

The "Great Crowd" at Rev 19:1,6 are said by JWs to be "angels"

i don't usually do it anymore (debating with a jw) but my co-worker is a "devout" jws and she just always want to talk about the bible with me.

i try to avoid her because i just realize it is a "waste" of time trying to show the jws anything negative about the wt society.

i believe everybody has a right to belong to whichever religion or faith he or she wishes, but talking to a jws about their beliefs just goes in circles.

The “great crowd in heaven” referred to at Revelation 19:1, 6 is not the same as the “great crowd” of Revelation 7:9 . The ones in heaven are not described as being “out of all nations” or as ascribing their salvation to the Lamb; they are angels. The expression “great crowd” is used in a variety of contexts in the Bible.— Mark 5:24; 6:34; 12:37 .

Perfect logic here. How about this?

a few minuites ago talking to my sister who is finally seeing the watchtower for what it is and is scrutinizing it alot brought something to myu attention that troubled my longtime jw mother dearly.

she said after reading the article about the death of guy pierce she noticed that they never refered to him as brother pirce.

she said everytime they mentioned his name they refered to him as mr. pierce.. .

I noticed this too. I know its a piece of PR, but the "misternes" is a little weird. I mean, the person speaking is a brother talking about another brother. Why not refer to him as such? Whatever.

so, i was thinking about pierce's dead.

so, supposely he is in heaven, right?

and down here on earth, they are going to give a talk about him, maybe with his body present or his body already buried, but the question is, if his body is still here on earth, what went to heaven?

Dear Brothers:

March 20, 2014

We are pleased to inform you of a significant decision made by the Governing Body that will affect the work of traveling overseers worldwide. Effective September 1, 2014, the organizational role of district overseer will be discontinued. The responsibilities previously cared for by district overseers will be simplified. Some aspects of their work will now be cared for by experienced circuit overseers and Bethel representatives.

This simplification will mean that many of those who are now serving as district overseers will be able to use their spiritual qualifications and rich theocratic experience in serving once again as circuit overseers. We very much appreciate the role that district overseers have filled in training others and in strengthening the organization over the years, and we know that these spiritual men will continue to be used by Jehovah in a mighty way in their new assignments.—Isa. 60:17.

Please arrange for this letter to be read to the congregation at the first Service Meeting after its receipt or after the next Watchtower Study, whichever comes first. Thereafter, it should be posted on the information board. If the circuit overseer is visiting your congregation, he will read this letter at the conclusion of the next congregation meeting. At circuit assemblies and special assembly days, the letter will be read by the last speaker on the program at the conclusion of his talk.
