Hi JG,
I took your advice and read Psalm 22. Very Interesting. I can't believe I don't remember reading it before. Strange thing about the Bible....always something new, huh. Jesus did not believe that he was forsaken as I read it. Thanks, DJ

the key to properly understanding the bible is remembering that it is all about the spirit.
whatever is spoken of in the bible no matter how literal it appears to be is intended to convey something of the spirit.

before my dad went into surgery he asked that i contact the people on this board and let them know how much it ment to him much it ment to him over the past month or so to be able to talk with all of you.. this is one of the few things in his life he could still enjoy.dad wanted to especially thank craig (ona ) for accepting him and apologies for anything he said that might have offended you.. my father was in so much pain over the past seven years ,god must have thought it was time, dad passed a few houres after surgery.. dad asked not to have a service and will be cremated than placed in an urn ( as he said "so he can keep an eye on mom" ) we all loved him deeply and he will be missed.
i will leave the company email should anyone want to,i will print them out for mom and the family to read.. again thanks to all, our love is with each and every one of you.. matthew mc cune [email protected]
((((sorry))))
I thought that IMA had a great sense of humor. He sure cracked me up a few times. I had no clue that he was sick. I am saddened and shocked and I offer your family hugs and much love. It's an odd thing to shed a tear for someone that you never really met. This place is ......a family and I'm glad that IMA was a part of our family. He will always be in our hearts. Mrs. Mc Clune, please accept my hugs. Take good care of yourself, ok? Sorry Mathew. Thankyou for letting us now about our friend.
((((((((((((((((Mc Clune's)))))))))))))) =hugs

They absolutely make me sick! How on earth do you suppose that these men who see the changes take place can possibly justify it in their own minds?. I can't figure out if they are extremely forgetful or downright evil or floating somewhere in denial. My sweet husband could have died if I obeyed those rules! Mercy is paramount to sacrifice. grrrrrrr. My husband had 23 red cell transfusions after an accident.....my family still thinks that he would have been fine w/o. Their brains have been seiged by lies. They are rendered empty headed.

Hi AGuest,
I completely agree with everything you said. I mean that's what I did and still do. I searched and searched and poured out my guts day and night for several years trying to learn the truth! It was only when I read John 5:39-40 when I realized what I was doing wrong. Yikes, it was like those verses were there for me! I still had WT fears and I was unable to talk to Jesus...I thought a demon would get me! Then I was struck by Matt 11:28 and I cried tears of joy and pain for not believing. Only then......... after I asked Jesus to forgive me for my unbelief and accepted his forgiveness (hard for me) and asked the guidance of the holyspirit.......only then...did I finally stop relying on myself for wisdom. I have been spoon fed like a babe ever since! Praise Jah!!!!!!! love, dj Hallelujah!!!

are born agains qualified to help jw's?.
i don't think so.sorry if you are one i have nothing against you personnally, nor jw's come to think of it, but offering your version of truth to jw's is for them to jump out of the frying pan into the fire.. the bible is the root of jw problems , and following that book in which ever way you wish will always be in error..
Madman,
It's at www.exjws.net Then click on "Pioneers" it is the first story.......my name is Donna..........................................................or click on the word "here" on jgnat's last post on this thread...I have no idea how she did that! Take care! dj

Hi jgnat,
I think that picture is so kewl! Where was that taken and what is that place? It looks like you're actually looking at the earth's shape.
As to the deprogramming question.... I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Personally my 'deprogramming' was achieved thru prayer and bible study and atleast listening to what others believed. This took a total of 5 to 6 years because I had to re-learn practically everything. The fear is mainly what causes the closed mind. I was taught for many years, even as a kid that the jw's were the only ones with the truth. The ramifications of being taught that mainstream christianity is from satan is absolutely paralyzing to the concept of an open mind. I was debilitated emotionally which the affects your physically health. It was without a doubt the most difficult thing that I ever experienced in my life. When you read my story, I guess you saw some of the other traumatic events in my life but leaving the jw's was the worst. Hard to believe but true. It is that awful.
As far as the 'aggressive against a person's will' type of deprogramming, I'm clueless. It certainly does not sound like the right approach. I suppose in some cases it would be helpful. To me, this is spiritual warfare and big time~ maybe the end justifies the means in this situation. I'm not sure. I am aware of books written by Stephen Hassan who was a Moonie and now he helps deprogram people but I am not sure that he would agree with agression being used. You can find his books here www.freeminds.org also I believe they have intervention groups forming with Randy Watters and Stephen Hassan. Check it out. In my heart of hearts I hope that your b/f can be set free soon. love, dj
i am officially retiring my other two personas (mister biggs and mister 8iggs).
quick history: i chose biggs because i am a huge fan of ronald isley (and his brothers).
i initially added 8iggs because i went over my quota for posts one day.
Hi Mark,
I don't think that my husband has any relatives with the same last name. His grandfather was killed in WW2 and his father was an only child. Could be a distant relation though. I know that there is a Pierantozzi that played pro-football.....can't remember the team though. Sorry, I can see why you thought they were related...it is an unusual name. You oughta hear the pronunciations we get! dj
since my wife has been attending meetings recently, and i have been going with her i have noticed a change.. i mentioned i thought it was weird that after the sun talk and before watchtower study they would announce the number of people who had attended and invite them to stay for the wt study.
since i mentioned this to an elder it has stopped.
i have never heard it again.
Hi JG,
Hmmm...interesting. I don't know what to think about the counting of heads. As for the birthday thing well, my family really does celebrate birthdays...they just don't call them birthdays and they don't do it on the DAY....usually within the week. It's makes me angry and sad all at the same time. They even eat cake but it isn't decorated, go figure. They just don't do that around MY b-day......apostate U know.
P.S. Forgive my ignorance but what is a Jack witness? dj
hi guys:.
i need some info?
in the proclaimer book on page 219, does it say that the dubs call themselves the "visible christ on earth" ???
"THE SOCIETY is the visible representative of the Lord on earth,"
Thankyou Willy!! No need to be sorry! This is most likey what the poster meant. Creepy, huh? They are putting themselves in the same role that they say Jesus had as the 'representative' Yikes....
love, dj
