i dont know if they do or not.. i try to back the jws, but i dont know if i am talking to athiests, other christians, disfellowshiped ones, or people who just left the truth.
it would be nice to know sometimes.. you might ask why i would wanna know because i should answer everyone the same way, but on here you cant.

it makes absolutely no sense that jws expend so much energy, in every way, to keep their very ill "loved one" alive (excluding transfusions and organ transplants).
then utter such insanity as "the 'thing' is we have the resurrection to look forward to if it doesn't "go well"".. if that is true, and you believe it wholeheartedly, why expend all the energy, in this wicked system of things that jehovah god is going to destroy...soon, so that you will inherite a "new system", to keep him alive in such a 'system'?.

I have not seen it and probably won't. But I have to wonder on the organ transplant part - did he mention that just a few years back the patient would have been df'd and called a cannibal for accepting an organ transplant? I believe it was not until the 80s that Jehovah - Oh, I mean the Governing Body, allowed organ transplants.

is this a widespread feeling among jw's, or fundamentalists in general?

Around here - Seattle, heavy gay population - homosexualism, gay pride. It is almost a given when you see it as a sticker on a car that it is the gay symbol. Just the way it is these days I guess.

I remember it being in the United in Worship book that we learned the Greek Scriptures don't apply to the "other sheep." They do it in a sneaky way - (3) Context has a bearing on the meaning of specific verses. - To whom are the statements at Romans 5:1 and 8:16 addressed? (See Romans 1:7.). So there you get stuck, unless someone is really sincere and willing to think. Not to say that it is a waste of time - some honest, sincere questions guided me to freedom. I did not listen initially, but it stuck with me until the right time. The Holy Spirit can work with what you say.
