By their fruits, you will know them. Jesus said if 99 of his sheep were in the pasture, he would go personally to find the one sheep who was lost and bring him back, and instructed his congregation to do the same.

Maybe if the jehovah's witnesses actually read their bible, they would know that.

I just wanted to point out this quote from Gill:

So tell me exactly what is the "unforgiveable sin?" In the bible, God forgave people for adultery, murder, lying, stealing and worshiping false idols, but he won't forgive you for masterbation? How screwd up is that? Notice how their pattern of speech eliminates God from the equation.The sentence implies that only the watchtower, not God can forgive your "sins" And notice how the article never advises you to go to anybody else except a witness. If it is so wrong, than why not go see a psychologist? Because they know how absurd they will sound if they do! Does anybody else notice this?

No problem, Hondo. I felt the need to reach out and respond because your story was so familiar to me.

The sad truth is that all the time and effort I spent over the past five years to help her and save her from this cult, simply made her the perfect host.

It's times like that, when I realized that I failed my mom in something so important she didn't even know it existed, I wish that I never existed either.

Oh my God, I can't believe I'm even responding to this. Well here I go, I'll try not to make any jokes.

First of all, leave the gay people alone you sick WT perverts, they don't masterbate any more or less than hetersexual people. They pity you and get on with their lives while you spend 130 plus years condeming them. Who's really the pathetic losers?

Second, no child, and I mean NO CHILD will EVER, tell their parents about their sex lives, especially masterbation, case closed.

Having said that, if these example teenagers even exist (I'm guessing not), I'd hate to think what psycho-sexual torture they were submitted too to say such laughable garbage like this.

In regards to the teary eyed elder, how creepy is that? Honestly, what mature rational adult starts to cry when a teenager tells them about masterbating? The sicko was probably crying for joy because he had found another potental victim to abuse.

Maybe if the watchtower spent more time condeming child molestation and apprehending the thousands of guilty predators in their own organization, then maybe they would have a passing familiarity with the term Christian! But no! In the watchtower, horny little boys aren't allowed to be normal or sexual at all, so they grow up to horny old men and rape children, and the cycle continues!

And when was the last time anyone saw a watchtower magazine that condemned child molestation? When have they ever given "advice" on how to prevent the real abomination?!

And as for the watchtower, they just feel guilty because that's all they have. The governing body is just 85 year old virgins/child molesters, so they condem the world for something they do themselves.

After all, the watchtwer is in the business of making money, HAND OVER FIST. (wink,wink)

Hondo: No, that's not an exaggeration, I know exactly what you mean. Many JW converts have that bossy person always hanging over them. My mom sounds exactly like your ex. She is glassey eyed, she has violent and emotional mood swings, she never seems to know where she is or what she's doing. It's so frightening to watch her mentally decaying before my eyes. Yesterday, she said she was disconnecting the internet because she saw me on this website and is terrified of being disfellowshipped if being "discovered." They have her body and soul, and there is no reaching her at all.

As for that bossy person, they're the ones the convert calls when they're having family problems, like when we staged an intervention for my mom. They also do the dirty work of the watchtower, suppressing all the converts questions and giving them what to wear, how to talk, how to think, how to piss. They're the wolves in sheeps clothing.

To all you ex-JWs who weren't born in the org, but instead converted as an adult, do you remember a specific person who was there from the beginning, who showed you the dozens of rules and groomed you to be the perfect witness? If so, did you ever secretly hate that person? I mean, they were nice in a leacherous way, the way a snake is nice right before he eats a hamster. Did you ever think, in between the time you converted without knowing the truth to the time you learned they are a cult, "what the hell have I gotten myself into?"

I think that moment has to come right about the time when your sitting and dozing off from boredom in the kingdom hall with your hand me down suit and your cheap dollar store cologne, clutching your magazine for dear life, singing "Loyally Submitting to the Theocratic Order," after you've thrown out your wind chimes, and your beer mugs, and your flag, and your computer, and your education, and your Bible, and your cross, and your Christmas tree, and your Ouigi board, and your shotgun, and your push-up bra, and your miniskirt, and your right to privacy, and your freedom of speech, and your freedom of thought, and your friends, and your family, and your sanity.......

Wow, they should be ashamed, but of course we know they never will be. I'm guessing back then they didn't have the rule they have now, meaning that my mom was told by the elders that she's not allowed to give out literature to strangers that's more than three years old anymore. Forget about "old light" and "new light," this light is so blurred and fractured, they're literally tripping over their own backwards feet.

So I asked my mom, if Jesus was a Jehovah's Witnesses, then why would he go door to door handing out magazines that he knew were going to expire in three years?

She didn't like that very much...

Randy: That's an interesting choice of words that one is not a real witness unless they are bapitsed and submit their timecards. You know what's weird is before my mom was baptised, she wasn't allowed to pray to God, she said she wasn't worthy. She always says grace before eating, except when there's a man at the table, then he does it.

I didn't know if these were offical Watchtower rules or unspoken ones in her congregation, but I know I was horrifed at the blatent sexism and class distinctions in "the truth."

Ironically enough, she spent six months preparing for baptism and memorized the dozens of questions, and now she doesn't remember a single thing she swore an oath to. I'd think if your going to completely give up your freedom of thought and surrender your life to this totalitarian cult, shouldn't you at least bother to remember why you did it?

Is there a need to say at this point that they are all equally guilty, except Ray Franz? As for who was the worst, it must have been Rutherford. Russel was an arrogant mislead fool. But after all, who's more foolish the fool, or the fool who follows him?

By the way, am I the only one who thinks Russel's death is a little suspicious? Rutherford was by his side all the time, and published a postumous book in his name with the ludricus claim that he had dictated it from the grave. Then he seemed to gain instant power in an organization founded by a man who never intended to have a successor. So is it not logical to theorize that Rutherford planned all this? Any thoughts?

Tigerman: Maybe we do need to get a life, this certainly is not a pleasant topic to focus on. And maybe we do have a one track mind at times.

You see, the problem is not necessarily the offender himself, he is probably mentally disturbed. The problem is how the fellow elders deal with it. This goes back to a basic JW teaching, that all "Jehovah's People" are pure and noble and don't do things like this. So when they do, instead of trying to get help for the offender, they sweep it under the rug and go about their business. Keep in mind they discourage going to a therapist and using mental help in general. Meanwhile, the offender might go from lewd behavior to child abuse, we don't know for sure. But the point in discussing these things is to warn everyone of a potental predator in a position of authority. He was a school bus driver after all.

The sad thing is, he might have been just a regular guy who had one too many beers and decided to go streaking through the town, like the people you described on the beach where you live. In that case it's just as bad because "Jehovah's People" are not supposed to be regular guys who get occasionally drunk and make mistakes.

My point is, we here on JWD have seen for ourselves what guys like this can become. If by chance he is reading this, I want to let him know that there is help for him, and to please contact his local authorities and get out of the watchtower. This may sound crazy but we would like to help him before he hurts himself or anybody else. Whether this is just a regular guy or something alot worse, it doesn't matter. The WTS should drop their hypocritical act once and for all and admit that they don't have the answers, they are not God's organization; they never have been, and they never will be. There are drunks and child molesters in their organization, just like everywhere else in the world.
