Is there a Universal Issue? Did God cheat....yes and I can prove it.

If Jehovah/Yahweh is the creator of all things and the Most High, how on earth, or in heaven come to that could his Sovereignty ever be challenged? Didn't Paul say something about the potter and ask can the thing made say to the potter why did you make me?

The ability to procreate doesn't make one a good parent.

The ability to create humans, doesn't make one a good ruler.

God proved his power, Satan just want's him to prove his right to use that power. Otherwise Jehovah is just a bully, or an abusive parent.

What about the Flood? Surely the issue, if there was one, must have been settled back in Noah's day otherwise God would not have destroyed mankind back then would he?

That incident strikes me as similar to a five year old overturning the board as he is about to lose.

The tower of Bable strikes me as similar to a four year old changing the rules mid-game.

Making humans imperfect stikes me as similar to a parent cutting off their childs arms and legs and throwing them in a ditch and saying: "So you think you're better off without me huh?" - "WELL NOT LIKE THIS, NO!"

I'd like to see Satan's challenge actually answered. How well would perfect humans rule themselves?

hello guys, todya i recieved an email from an old friend of mine within the jdubs... he did the usual jdub thing get married really young and as such we lost touch.. he since found me on facebook and has been bugging me about my decision to leave, i talked to him a little but his mind is completely closed and irrational so i was having little success saving him from the cult and as sich i decided to end the call.. by saying "your happy and i'm happy so lets leave it be and aggree to differ" - however he wont let it rest this is his email: any help in responding would be most appreciated!!

ps... how ironic that he should mention george orwell when he lives within a cult that epitomizes the 1984 book!!

is the world getting better? no, is it getting worse? yes..

This expresses a true ignorance of history. We no longer watch people kill each other in gladiator arenas, or lock slaves in with wild animals for fun. We don't even HAVE slaves. In fact, we don't even lock ANIMALS in with animals to fight each other, that's illegal.

The average human lifespan worldwide has increased from 20-30 years to 67 years. That's a pretty loaded statement. This means that people are living longer, there are less children dying every day, there are less people dying from earthquake and pestilance and food shortages and nation rising against nation now than ever. (I'm talking percentages of course, since that's the only number that would apply to this question, naturally since there are more people there are more deaths.)

Dying of old age used to be unheard of!

It's true that humans now have the ability to destroy the world.... but they haven't used that ability yet! To say that the world is horrible because we CAN do something is asinine.

But I don't make agreements to do things until I know what they are.

Agreed, I never break a promise, but that's mainly because I don't make very many promises. Especially not if I don't know what it is.
