my friends.... you are misguided.

i do not mean to attack you, but i have a vew issues i would like to discuss.. first off... .

witnesses the bible says that man cannot even comprehend heaven... how would anyone know that 144,000 people will live in heaven when the old testament says in the first book genesis and got parted the waters from the world and the heaven so earths population is almost 4 billion people... how is only 144,000 people... or as i guess 144000 godlike beings going to inhabit a world as big as that ... which brings me to the next point 144000 godlike beings f they are godlike then there are 144,001 gods which is polytheistic.

we had an interesting local needs.. first it clearly stated if you are not making all the meetings you will not make it in to the new system period no exceptions.

they twisted the story of the red sea to make an example.

saying you can not disobey once, or else you be left stuck in the bottom of the red sea.. from now on the elders will be making shepherding calls on those that are not attending regularly.. also, it was stated that if you know of any not attending regularly.

was,if jehovah was going to bring about armegeddon to destroy the "wicked"humans who may live an average of 75 yrs +/-,who may not even know of him in their lifetime..why would he allow satan,who was directly associated with him,to exist for as long as he has?..seems to me,it would have been an instantaneous destruction because he already knew better..it would have been worse than blasphemy.. he even allowed him complete control over the earth to do as he wishes...also,if he isn't destroyed at some point,how would humans know?

no human can see spirit creatures..therefore there could be no proof that he didn't exist anymore(i.e a body).

another thing that has always bugged me about that whole scenario..why would "jehovah" the supreme creator,have the need to justify his right to rule,to a lesser spirit creature that he created...i liken it to a son telling his father that he knows better than the father about how the household should be run....sort of a moot point.

people and carry this " imperfection " on to others.

Why didn't he keep them from multiplying and when

they ate from the tree let them die which they were

going to anyway and when they did, create a new

couple. Try again until the created adam or eve get it

right. When they do, then let them breed.

Anyway, How long does it take to make a witness?

After seeing the 2007 stats I thought to myself how many
hours does it take to make a brother, sister, witness, disciple or
what ever you want to call it?

My wife has a study that’s getting ready to be baptized. ( poor thing )
It has taken years for this person to get to this point.
It took my wife and I a year or more. So I started to think of what the
bible accounts had to show as examples.

For instance, take the Ethiopian eunuch in ACT 8:36-40
“ 36As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn't I be baptized?" 38And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.”

Most accounts I come across seem to show no hesitation or time at all.

Can anybody think of an account that shows that it takes hundreds possibly
thousand of hours and were they had to study two or more separate sacred
writings or just plain writings before they can be baptized? Not to mention all
the other thing that the borg requires.

that would really rock my world as i know it.

after i initially left the jws' i did question the whole "is there a god"" especially when you look around and see all the atrocities - the sick sick things happening in your own back yard.then i put it out of my mind and carried on believing in a god.. right now i choose to believe in a god, whether that god be jesus, jehovah, buddha, allah, shiva, it doesn't matter - i'm happy with the idea that there is a spiritual & powerful someone running things.however lately i've been questioning again - so many posters on here that are atheists really make good arguments & i can't reason my way out of it.. why does god keep so quiet?

why not just let us know - tadaaaa i'm here.

I’m with ya on this and feel the same way.
In fact the other day I was thinking of this.
I think one of the reasons I decided to look into
my doubt was when the 9/11 attack on the towers
took place.
Watching those people screaming , running for there life’s and
jumping out of building from hundreds of feet up made me think is
this how Armageddon is going to be. I thought how could a Loving GOD
allow or even commit such a terrible act to billions of people and I was
going around door to door teaching it.
That, I think stopped me in my tracks.
