i came across a scripture (genesis 15:16) which says that god's people would return "in the fourth generation".
true, it doesn't say where in the fourth generation but as they were to be in egypt for 430 years then if they return in the fourth we're looking at generations being divided up into approx.

Help get this JW off my back!
by mpatrick ini was wondering if anyone wanted to come to my defense on this jw discussion board at http://www.beliefnet.org this jw that post as "rosemaybud" is driving me crazy and i am tired of trying to get her off my back.
she never post about anything much, except to make hateful remarks to me or about me.

Visit from parents today
by Bendrr inmy dad gave a talk in monticello today, so since macon is on their way home he and mom stopped by for a visit.. no mention of "coming back" or anything jw-related, but mom did give me a copy of the new world translation.
so i've got a [version of the] bible now.
previously she had asked me if i had a bible, and i said "well no, but i have read it several times".. they also didn't mention dateline, and i decided not to bring it up this time since the visit went well.

Hypocracy with DFing policy!
by gumby insince the sept. 15th 1983. watchtower about "how to treat disfellowshiped ones", no change in policy has taken place.. in spite of this....many ex-dubs still have family members who still smile, wave, or talk to us.....why?
did they forget the policy?
do they have their own opinion on how tht handle this?

she and i talk on a regular basis with a don't ask don't tell unspoken policy regarding the society.
she has not "witnessed" to me in many years.

I measured mine - 9 inches !

actually, i read an interesting bit of trivia somewhere that said mens nipples are always 9 inches apart.
i measured mine and i'm spot on.. of course i'd be disappointed if all my vital stats were just 9 inches

it just CHAPS MY ASS!
by writerpen ini dedided to post this topic based upon the thread started by jt concerning the latest qfr in a recent watchtower concerning the submission of women.. i've made this point before in a post that in the beginning, according to the bible, god gave both men and women a curse - men to work the fields in sweat making a living, which today entails more than working fields.
and women to experience an increase in birth pains along with their husbands dominating them.
well these days, women have to meet men half way on their curse, because it seems that most families cannot make a living without the woman working.

State Benefits how does it affect the brothers
by MARTINLEYSHON infirstly may i thank all those who took the time and effort to respond to my post on the subject of circuit overseers and corruption?.
the majority of your replies were very well balanced, and i do take the point that not all c/os were or are indeed corrupt, and that there are sincere and genuine brothers out there.
with regard to my new topic, i encountered some very strange thinking from bethel, than what was actually contained within the printed pages of the awake magazine.
