Are JW's coached to be vague?
by InterestedOne ini recently emailed my jw friend a couple of questions about jw beliefs, and she gave a generic, vague response that did not answer my questions.
are jw's coached to answer in vague terms?.
i have been attending the tm "school," and although i see the "demonstrations" teaching jw's to give misleading opening lines at the door and canned answers to questions, my friend's response was not exactly canned.

The Governing Body and 2 Chronicles 10:13-16
by metatron injudging from some recent events and the km school in particular, it sounds like the (younger) governing body members are following the course of king rehoboam, with all their talk about college and blood.. i couldn't be more pleased.. metatron.

KM (Elder School) Brief Highlights
by XBEHERE inbesides the usual drivel there were a couple interesting things.
1. an entire 1 hour discourse on helping our children become little innocent martyrs for the wt via.
their flawed and unreasonable blood doctrine.

The second to last talk on Saturday is..."trust in the faithful and discreet slave" The speaker really emphasized how there is a problem with some elders who do not trust or obey the GB as the representative of God on earth. It was 1/2 hr of "following the the GB and their direction is the only way we will get from here to paradise." True quote.
Wow, so you mean there's a significant enough minority of Elders out there who see through the scam?
On the other hand, you elders out there with college age kids, now's your chance to get out of those responsibilities!
Do they really want to lose MORE elders? WTH are they smoking?

Well, MSE, I shudder to think what MORE control they could attempt to exercise on the rank and file....

New Beginnings!!!!
by JWFreak inwell things have changed big time for me.
on the 3rd of dec. finally, i have left my work at bethel and moved almost 500 kilometres away to a new life.. some of you were aware of my work in a european branch, and have kept my confidence.
for this i am eternally grateful...you know who you are.. the huge weight that has been taken off my shoulders is both a comfort and a relief.. when i settle into my new home properly, i intend to write some memoirs of life at the branch, hoping that others will find it of interest.. for now my future is for the first time uncertain and that makes it very very exciting, but i am no longer under the control of others yay!!.

Bethel has always seemed to resemble either a military barracks or a prison, not a religious institution. Enjoy your newfound freedom from micromanagement.

Can you give us a specific example? In times past, JWs have been better trained at using the bible to establish biblical reasoning, but now it's pretty much use the dumbed down literature and avoid any hard questions.
