I'm familiar with Jordon Maxwell's research, alot of it very interesting regarding common symbolism and teachings, practices amoung the world's religions. However I'd like an accurate source for the time of death. I can't seem to find that anywhere. I knew about the toga though, pretty weird.

this letter, left by man who was sexually abused as a child, commited suicide after being unable to function in his life post molestation.

it's very disturbing and may cause triggers from those who are survivors of sexual abuse, so this is my warning to those that may be very sensitive to this issue as from what i have read, left a very powerful and raw sense of emotions while reading this...... wow, gave me a very powerful insight, i'm beginning to understand....although i do disagree some key points he has addressed, but sadden he's no longer with the living.

I can't begin to imagine the horror that this person endured. I feel terrible that another human being has gone through this and feels so without hope that in desperation decides to end their own life.

Perhaps if he had found the right therarpy, he could have worked through his issues and found a life worth living and sharing with others. I only hope there's some justice in this world and whoever put him through this awful abuse isn't around to be a blight on humanity any longer. Anyone that inflicts this type of trauma on children shouldn't be allowed to continue their existence.

I couldn't help but notice how his parents treated him, kicking him out of the home. How that paralells the experience of many JW kids who've been kicked to the curb. To all lurkers with children out there, think about this! If your children are acting out in some way, GET THEM HELP! I'm not talking about elders grilling them I'm talking about professional help! Perhaps there's a deep, dark reason that they act the way they do and if you love them you won't kick them out but you'll do what you can to get them the help they need.

to be honest with you, it reminded me of a police crime scene investigation with yellow tape.

Sure, ALL of these DF'd ones have just turned their backs on Jehovah. What about those I know from PERSONAL experience that were sorry about what they'd done and wanted to clean up their act? Oh, sorry, we've just decided that you're not sorry enough, so now you're bird food. Oh, and forget about praying to God, he's not going to answer YOUR prayer! Think again!

i just received an email from a friend that gb member john barr is no longer with us.

with the passing of the old-timers, will the "young" gb seize the moment to actually bring the organization back to jesus?

or, are they afraid of the ghosts of the hardliners?.

I fear that, just as when the apostles died off, things will only get worse. I feel like the current GB is taking the course of Reheboam. This last year has seen the GB featured SO much that it seems idolatrous to many. Look for things to get worse and control to tighten and get more whacky.

before i begin my introductory post, i would like to mention that a number of my initial comments here may be viewed by several of you as watchtower apologist or as sympathetic to the views of the jehovahs witnesses.

the last thing i want to do is incite a flame war regarding my legitimacy or intentions in joining this forum.
