Let's Impeach The President!! Mr Young on form again.
by lowden inhe may now be a bit of an 'old croc' but neil young has really pulled a gem out of the bag with his latest album 'living with war'!
i've been a fan for over 25 years now and this is a milestone album, probably the best since freedom or ragged glory imo.
he's very often at his best when ripping into someone or something, a brilliant writer when it comes to putting things simply and in a nutshell.. stand-out track has got to be 'let's impeach the president'.

Misery and death
by Norm inhardly anything seem to fill the writing staff in brooklyn with such joy and gleeful anticipation as the potential for a good old disaster, something that may kill untold billions of people in a very short time and cause a fertile ground for more superstition and mumbo jumbo.. the december 22, 2005 issue of awake!
magazine is an excellent example of this when it asks the question: can it happen again?
i found this in the norwegian edition.forever on the lookout for doom and gloom and signs of the end brooklyn ever roaming eye is attracted to everything that has the potential to spell death and destruction to mankind, the worse it is the better it is to brooklyn.. this time (as so many times before), it is the possible emergence of a superflu like the influenza pandemic that swept the world in 1918, which these morons with their far fetched insane ideas think was foretold in the bible.

Amazing Bill Hicks Quote Regarding Belief Systems...
by FMZ inhe singles out christianity, but so many belief systems have the same problem...
"christianity has a built-in defense system: anything that questions a belief, no matter how logical the argument is, is the work of satan by the very fact that it makes you question a belief.
it's a very interesting defense mechanism, and the only way to get by it and believe me, i was raised southern baptist is to take massive amounts of mushrooms, sit in a field and just go, 'show me.'".

Advice for Young Mothers
by lowden ina six year old girl checks out her book at the library.. the librarian stops before she opens it to stamp it and observes the title which says 'advice for young mothers'.. slightly shocked and very inquisitive, but with a wry smile the librarian asks, 'excuse me dear i hope you don't mind me asking , but why are you interested in this subject, aren't you a little young?'.
'no not at all' says the girl as she waltzes out with the book, 'you can never be too young to start collecting moths'.
peace.
