My hats off to the guy in your cong....that is so funny! When my family was doing the fade they started hundreds of rumors about my family.. And mean ones to...because alot of people 'liked' our family. (At least my elder dad). One of the weirdest rumors was that my dad had terminal cancer and that was why he wasn't coming to the meetings. The elders had thoughts that we might be apostates...so, I guess thats why no one decided to see if the cancer rumors were true. My only guess why they would start a rumor like that is that...God leaves you and stopes blessing you when your not a witness anymore.

Proper Etiquette for Disfellowshipped JW's.
by Dune inlooking back, i realize the stigma attached to df'ed and da'ed people, its as if they're supposed to be there and not there at the same time.
they're supposed to be extremely unhappy and hopeless.
when you see a df'ed person everything in their life is supposed to be going wrong because "they dont have jehovah in their lives" and when theres a df'ed person who doesnt fit the category they're hated even more.. there's a df'ed person in my congregation, i remember years ago (before i started posting here) i used to absolutely detest the sight of this guy.

What the heck do JWs find wrong with Mother's Day, Father's Day,

Mother's Day is BAD because Moms don't deserve to be worshiped!! They don't deserve a day set aside to let them know how wonderful it is to have someone who loves and cares for you.

Okay take this advice!!! If you can not leave the cult you are in....Then SHUT UP and keep what you are doing to yourself.. I have been in a judicial commitie And would not recommend anyone ever being in one.. Why the He!! should you have to tell three old men what you have done!!! It is disgusting the questions they ask you...that God already knows....why do they need to know?? If you feel bad for what you have done that is between you your girlfriend and God.

Are they really just saving themselves?...
by Hecklerboy inwhen i was a teenager my best friends little brother (baby) died because he was refused a blood transfussion.
it really bothered me even though i thought they did the right thing.. now that i'm out i was talking to my wife about it and the whole blood thing and came to the realization that they did it just to save themselves.. think about it.
if you allow your child to have a blood transfusion, who is god going to blame?

The loss of innocent lives does make me very sad now. I can't believe that I would have been there to judge someone if they would have decided to save their life or that of their childs.

Excommunication is good!!!!
by I-follow-the-narrow-path inwhile talking to my teacher today we talked about excommunication.
i told her i thought it was mean to not talk to those members which have been excommunicated.
she told me; however, that those who leave the church should be punished.

I think it is good....and bad. I don't think people should be thrown out of their church because some guy says God doesn't want or love you anymore. I know that all people make mistakes and I would not be one to judge another human being. On the other hand I think it is a good idea because hopefully when a person is excommunicated maybe that person will realize that they can have a relationship with God without being tied to a religion or church.

Is this the ultimate question to ask a JW?
by jwfacts inpeople always ask what subject they should raise with their jw relatives.
the problem is, what is important to you is often of no consequence to me.
no one knows what will be the issue to change a relatives mind.

No logical questions or proven facts have helped my sister to see. She has only drawn further away from her whole family. She says she doesn't have to prove thats she is right to us and all the other usaul robotic answers. I don't know if their is anything at all that will ever help some people get out.
