I think that people who really believe the JW dogma and do do it,dont really understand the dogma at all..After all,isnt part of the JW 'creed' that you be either one way or the other? I mean,If I KNEW that something was right,and wouyld SAVE MY LIFE and all that,Id do it.Wouldnt you?I mean,really believed it. I dont buy it.There has to be another reason why she isnt a Dub.

hy husband took to it straigt away and has been a jw for 20 years - we were both converted by one of his workmates.
our 4 kids were all baptised jws and thankfully 3 escaped (2 disfellowshipped, one fading) - so my eldest son is still in with his dad.

Ok,So,I havent read every post,just 3 pages,but having been married 4 times,I am a bit of an expert so...Dump him.It isnt worth it,and the longer you stay,the more you will become dimished in his and maybe your own eyes..Get out while you still can see a different life for yourself,.There is still hope,because you are still questioning it.If you need to be with someone,it will happen.Really..I know.Right now,you need a clean break..Harsh? Yeah,maybe but,you already know this in your heart,right?

Phone call from the local JWs this evening...
by Jim_TX ingosh i wish i was better at having religious discussions with jws.
this evening, as i am at home trying to relax, i get a phone call from the local jws who are evidently sitting in their kh dialing out.. i got this man who starts off by asking me if he can ask me a question.
"okaaaaay..." i say slowly.... "do you think..." he starts... and then stops... obviously losing his place in his pre-prepared sermon....

I am "the disfellowshipped daughter" who took care of my elder father till he died in 2009 of a long dragged out heart disease.Now,I am taking care of my mom,who actually lives with me.My JW sister,couldnt care less.She appeared when it looked like my mom was going to die,because she wanted a few "momentos" from mom's house,which is actually MY second house.I told her to hit the road and pointed out that she was a cold heartless bitch.In those words.She didnt like that much,and tried to sic her grown sons on me.Luckily,I have a splendid lawyer,and in the country I live in,it is still not illegal to call someone "a swear"...I hate the witnesses for this and oh so much more.When my mom goes,Im done with all of it.I will not even talk about them anymore.I will try to pretend that the JW's do not exist.They are a scourge..Old witnesses?All I can say is,youd better hope that youhave a df'd kid that will save yer skin when you get sick,because your "faithful" one will be too busy going out from door to door,trying to convince total strangers,that they should join their cut to help you..And THAT...is the truth...

by Shawn10538 insomeone else suggested this so i just figured, ok let's do it.. 1. all present jws died and i became the sole leader of the entire religion.
2. then i would dissolve the religion and burn every last memory of it ever existing.
3. all books would be burned, all buildings destroyed.
