Just my fat old lady cat screeching and pouncing on the bed when I get up late! I want to think she's helping me be on time, but in reality, she wants another plate of tuna.

Fluff....Do you have a pet that saved you from something?
by restrangled inback on an early thanksgiving morning many years ago we had 2 siamese cats that were brothers.. the furnace in our basement would throw out a flame when turned on.
my mom one evening left a broom next to that furnace.
during the night that broom caught fire, and promptly lit up everything in the basement once ignited.

Bikerchik, yeah, that's it! Clementines! They had sacks of those "cuties" for sale in Wal-Mart yesterday, so I bought some. Tasty! I think they'll keep well in the cool garage.

Don't the Dubs wonder why the Israelites had festivals, and they can't? I guess those sorry ass-emblies are their modern day festivals. Pooey!
Thank you, Blondie, for doing the review even though you don't feel well!

I love those sweet little seedless tangerines from Spain or California, and D'Anjou pears.

Bluetooth Headsets: Geeky or Sexy?
by Elsewhere inas a programmer i am exposed to high technology all the time and ironically this has given me an odd aversion to it!
i like gadgets and gizmos like anyone else; however i demand it be discrete.
when i'm out-n-about i want to be connected, but at the same time i don't want anyone to be able to see it.. for years i have avoided the bluetooth headsets that appear to be gaining in popularity, however im still not quite ready to get one because of the obvious geek factor and the simple fact that many people who wear them appear to be making the "look at me, i've fancy" statement.

I have the Plantronics model with the little blue light, too. It's made life easier for me when I'm at work. I leave my cell on my desk because it's harder to fasten on a cell phone for women, I think. I don't miss calls anymore. The only problem sometimes is the awkward moment when you seem to be muttering on to yoursel, An employee kept saying, "What? Me?" till I said, "Could you excuse mefor a minute, please? I'm talking to my husband! We were both embarassed.
They are getting very common where I work, so I don't think anyone really notices them anymore.
As far as security, I don't see in the booklet if it's a v1 or v2...

Bethel Romeos - throwing your daughters at them
by Uzzah init was raised in a comment quoted in the national post article today:.
on speaking engagements at kingdom halls throughout the country, fathers would sometimes even offer up their daughters in marriage to him because of the prestige of his position, he said.. have any of the gals here experienced this?
did your parents 'parade you' around visiting bethelites or try to set you up with them?

There was a poor brother from our Hall who went to Bethel at nineteen. He had quit high school at 16 to pioneer. His parents threw him out of the house because they were Catholic and very displeased with him becoming a Witless. He couldn't afford a car, so he rode a bicycle everywhere. Somewhere along the way, this guy developed a crush on me. I was about 17 or 18.
He was very lonely at Bethel, and called our house collect every stinkin Sunday evening. He wanted to talk to me, but after a few polite words, I'd put my dad on the line. The guy was just so young and lonesome, and I did feel sorry for him, but not enough to lead him on! Anyway, in a couple of years we heard he'd married a sister from one of the New York congregations. She was a nurse! They had five kids at last report, and she had to support the family because he had no high school diploma and little in the way of job skills. But, she got her Bethel boy! Thank heavens I didn't cave in to the nudging from my family to sit by him one time at the Witchtower meeting

How much more can a person take?
by juni ini'm in a very low mood today.. i read about all of the misery that this f* religion has caused for people and their families.
my friend told me how he's been visiting an 80 yr. old brother in very poor health and no one has come to visit - just calls.
can't you feel the love?

Juni, sometimes life just SUCKS, just acknowledge that...and it also always gets better, and then we're so glad we stuck it out. The smell of spring air, flowere coming up, baby birds singing... yeah, it's worth trudging thru the muck, that's what I tell myself. Do something nice for yourself today!

i'm in shock!
by Sunnygal41 inafter 13 years with the same car, at the beginning the week i became the proud owner of a 2002 chrysler pt cruiser!
she is the most beautiful car i've ever owned............she's candy apple red, with leather seats that are heated, sun/moon roof, chrome wheels.
when i picked her up from the dealer, i didn't even feel like i should own this car, as she is more gorgeous than i could ever imagine..........anyways, i had to share my deep thanks to the universe with y'all............i am deeply happy to have a reliable, warm, safe, but absolutely gorgeous, car to drive.........perhaps it's also partly because i will be 50 years old in august............another wonderful milestone in my life......... smooches,.
