a few weeks ago i was checking out a few details on line about the nov. 12, 2007 nbc broadcast concerning the wts settlement on the west coast pedophile cases, and the release of the court documents on cd by barbara anderson.
i think it was lisa meyers who interviewed barbara, and brian williams was hosting.
well, i figured silentlambs had a transcript of the show, and i went there, only to find that they indeed had the transcript, but all of barbara's portion of the interview was oddly missing, and there was no link to the video.
I spoke to Bill and his wife about 2 months ago. I knew Bill and his dad from Arkansas back in the late 60's as we pioneered in the same circuit.
I have also spoken with the Andersons and was impressed too.
It is too bad that the people that have done the most to highlight the WT's evil position on pedophiles have gotten crossways with each other.

In 1966 I went to prison to uphold the WT view of Neutrality, which meant back then, a non-involvement in the political affairs of this world.
They broke their neutrality. They also got deeply involved in "interfaith" at the UN meetings they shared in.
Both are disfellowshipping offenses, which I did. After I disfellowshipped them, they had the audacity to disfellowship me.
If it is "no big deal" and not wrong for them to have become associate "NGO's" of the UN,------------then why in the HELL did they get out within three days of getting caught?

jehovah's witnesses currently teach that prior to 1914 no one could have predicted what happened in europe in 1914. they teach that the world was heading toward such idyllic stability that the events of 1914 caught everyone off-guard.
so surprised were the people of the time that they looked back with fondness at the calm preceding 1914 as a time that could never be gone back to.. what were the bible students teaching about 1914 prior to that year?
in what capacity did they claim to be teaching?.

to be honest, i am not looking forward to this at all.
i know most all the people i am going to meet are nice and mean well.
I think the KEY to leaving and STAYING out is to really understand what the REAL issues are, not the personal ones for leaving.
Seems to me that our two folks have pretty well got it figured out. Just NEVER weaken. It is an insidious situation.
This discussion board is invaluable in providing the FACTS about the WT.

just got home from 2 nights in the hospital.
i was kicked by a horse.
broke the big bone out of the joint and busted the small bone... which was just one layer of tissue from being a compound fracture.. doc reduced the dislocation while i was concious... i dont think we need to experience that sensation again.
My entire life experiences with horses could be summarized in one word: PAIN.

I have the best girlfriend in the whole world. She is in the process of fading and I will love her and support her through these difficult times. She was raised as a witness and unfortunately did not have a choice. I have no fears of her changing her mind and going back. I am doing this by choice just to have a better understanding of her family. This is also the 1st time she has gone in over a year as well. So, it is also hard for her. :(
