  who do the sons and daughter-in-laws represent (did they have children before the flood)?.

  what does the ark represent?.

  (2 peter 2:5) the true god gave righteous noah explicit instructions on how to build an ark for the preservation of life through a global flood.

  Just as Noah and his God-fearing family were preserved in the ark, survival of individuals today depends on their faith and their loyal association with the earthly part of Jehovah's universal organization.

  To survive the end of the present wicked system of things, we must do more than believe that it will be destroyed. We must exercise faith, taking full advantage of God's provisions for survival. Of course, we need to exercise faith in the ransom sacrifice of God's Son, Jesus Christ. (John 3:16, 36) However, we do well to remember that only those actually inside Noah's ark survived the Flood.

  I notice that they had to slip in a very short blurb about the need to exercise faith in the ransom of God’s Son, Jesus Christ. But is this the only mention of Jesus in the entire article? I’m not surprised since the Organization has taken on Messianic proportions! They've taken over the job of God's son. Contrast this with this well known verse in the Bible:

  (John 14:6) 6 Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

  A little bit more about myself....

  if any are so inclined to read a little bit more about me i would appreciate it.

  what i would like to know is if anyone has gone through a similar situation and how they dealt with it or are dealing with it.

  it seems to me that the more people i talk to and learn about, it opens my eyes to different ways of looking at something and sometimes a light bulb goes off in my brain and says, wow!, i never thought if it that way before but it could be really effective for me.. oh, i guess i could give you the link,

  Started developing with Visual Studio 2005 and Team Foundation Server

  last friday i upgraded my development environment at work to vs2005 with tfs... i've got to say: wow!

  with tfs source control integrated into vs2005 we can now develop our asp.net web applications on our local boxes.

  combine that with the new debug features and i have to say i *almost* enjoy getting errors while testing!

  WOW Elsewhere! I didn't know you were a software guy! Yea, I've been in the consulting business for 30+ years! And some of my earlier experiences were on machines now in the Smithsonian—oh God, my age is showing through! Anyway, I did years of engineering-related programming in C/C++/Assembler, developed in MFC/C++, had written dozens of device drivers for early minicomputers and about 6 flavors of Unix. I designed hardware/software for embedded microprocessors, worked in storage robotics, and telemetry for NASA Wallops, compiler development for several languages. Chances are the diagnostic software that comes with your computer was written by me (it is the only software I know of that is shipping with US-based computers). Now I'm working in Eclipse/Java on software tools for my own company. We should talk some time!

  You hit the nail on the head in your comment about Matt. 28, where Jesus receives ALL authority! Of course, WT says that this is only a "promise." I use this scripture with JW's at every opportunity and ask them if they view this as only a "promise." Their "mommy-WT" says this is what Jesus said! This has become my key scripture with JW's in that that they don't know what they have been really taught! And nobody has an answer, including elders in their 70's, raised in the cult from childhood!

  I don't know how these WT writers can go to bed at night, writing the crap they do! And as you've indicated, they often misquote sources to support a view!

  I'm just glad I'm out of it now, and can work each day to help those still held captive to break free!

  Odd Announcement at District Convention

  when i was at the latest district convention a few weeks ago there was an odd announcement made.

  i don't remember it very clearly, but it was something about noah and how he knew what rain was and that it must have rained before the flood because of that.

  also, there was something mentioned about the water canopy and how 'our' understanding of it may not be right.
