What is your view? Is the Michael in the Bible Jesus or someone else? I've heard and read much debate on this important question, but I would appreciate your views! I haven't made up mind just yet. Thanks in advance!

i've just been reading an article online about mormons, where when they just leave the church there is a department that tries to track them down to try and get them to return to the faith.
has the jws ever done this?.
"we could use more volunteers," said price.
Gadget,
To your basic question, I'd say YES! But former JW's can use it as an opportunity to help the few honest-hearted ones to see the real truth! My 2-cents!
i added some blondie-like comments this week.
kind of fun.
13 daniels enemies slyly asked darius: is there not an interdict that you have signed that any man that asks a petition from any god or man for thirty days except from you, o king, he should be thrown to the lions pit?
blondie,
You kill me! hehe! love-it!
is the product you're selling one of partial acceptance of the watchtower's teachings?
in that case, which parts do you suggest we accept and which do we reject?
or is the product you're selling one of full acceptance of the watchtower's teachings?
Yes "Steve2", you step on the "we-we" of the so-called WT "scholars!" What else do you expect? Of course "they" agree with all the false teachings that they can stomach! Let's watch them vomit! Here it comes...
jehovahs witnesses and education a brief history .
it is only the ignorant who despise education.

Hey Nec! Great Post! You missed though, a few articles I’ve seen circa 1969, which were extremely derogatory toward higher education! Demonized it to an extreme! But thanks for your balanced/summary view of what they did say. It still makes me sick/ill, and I’m sure it does the same for you! This issue over education is a major pet peeve, since I turned-down scholarships to prestigious universities (I got straight-A’s in High School, and was on in the National Honor Society) in my late teens. I’m still pissed-off, since at age 48, it’s difficult to compete against others, even with my vast experience, that have a degree! I HATE YOU WITCHTOWER!

We have two new members of the GB both of whom we have come to know fairly well -- Brother Anthony Morris III and Geoffrey Jackson.
Brother Morris, has raised two fine boys that are in Bethel. He served in the DO work. He has been serving as a helper to the GB and in the
Service Department
Brother Jackson is from Australia. ! ; He has been serving as a helper to the GB and works in Translation Services. He has served as a Special pioneer, a missionary in Fiji, a DO and a Branch committee member.
And of course, those that ordered a crown/cross, pin-emblem from the Society were obliged to pay for the pennant they ordered from the Society; most folks prepaid! The “sister” who studied with my mom and me, told me that they had a garbage can next to the literature counter, and when they received their emblem, crown/cross, they were instructed to throw it in the garbage! Of course some, like this “sister,” did not do this but kept it! She was very proud of it and other prior emblems she had collected! It was very interesting to see!
so theyve done it again.
once more the wbts tries to give the impression that they,or at least russell and his followers believed in the late 19th century that christ would return in 1914. .
of course we know that until the mid 1920s at least they believed and taught that jesus .
Actually, they believed long ago, that Christ returned in 1874, and that 1914 would be the end-point of Bible promises!
a few months ago my jw sister emailed me out of the blue asking for me to suggest a good telescope for her little girl (about 12, but i'm not sure).
my niece has had a strong interest in science since she was very little and my sister is trying to encourage her.
if you are wondering, yes, my sister and her jw husband do shun me... so basically she got the info she needed and then disappeared again.
Are you kidding? NO, BIRTHDAYS are a DF’ng-offence! At least after the iniital birth!
Please let me explain:Consider what actually happens among JW’s. JW’s DO celebrate birthdays! They celebrate the actual birth of a child, and celebrate its birth via a "shower!" I call it a "birthday shower!" Am I wrong here? I don’t’ believe so! I guess they don’t call it that, but that is what it is, yes?
Please ask yourself, do they give presents? Do they have a dinner celebration? Do they have a cake? Let met see: If it quacks as a duck, walks like a duck, looks like a duck, it’s probably a duck! Agree? Yes, JW’s do celebrate birthdays, but only the initial birth of the child! If they do it a year after, or anytime subsequently, they've done such and an aggresses act, that they are summarily disfellowshipped from the "Christian Congregation" (their terminology)! How SICK!

Hey Dogpatch,
In the dark band of each section, it says it was "published in 1993." Evidently this came out prior to or at the same time of the District Convention 1993, when the "new light" about the "generation" was released. Watchtower seems to have no problem releasing "old light" on its web site.
